Perfect setting for night before and morning of wedding!
The morning of wedding was relaxed, emotional and busy and most importantly it was stress free with Amelia's help. We greatly appreciated the freshly brewed coffee at 6am!!! Both Makeup artist and hair dresser had space to join us and set up.
Breakfast was lovely, very wholesome and tasty!
I would highly recommend Dunmore Gardens for that extra special occasion!

A JOURNEY BACK IN TIME
Alisha was very welcoming and showed us to this amazing bedroom with windows on three walls giving us a beautiful vista of the surrounding landscape. Down below on the front lawn we could see a red squirrel hanging on by its tail and stealing nuts from the bird feeder. In the front field we had a clear view of some of the biggest Irish hares we have ever seen running and dashing between two horses. In the distance we could see activity in the working farm as crops were being sowed. There were birds everywhere and for those interested there were large illustrated books all over the place to find out more about this amazing encounter with nature at its best.
Breakfast was served in the drawing room fresh fruit and orange juice, porridge or cereals and a healthy fry comprising poached eggs, bacon, tomato and grilled bacon and sausage on thick slices of a special kind of bread full of nature's healthiest ingredients. O Yes, there was home baked bread and jam made from fruits collected from the gardens.
The gardens are amazing and as good as any in a National Trust property and for those with green fingers this must be the experience of a lifetime. The gardener has been there for 60 years and there is a collection box for his local church! There are sundials and many other relics from the 1930's according to the dates still visible. There is even a stone summer seat on the front lawn, cannons reminding us of al bygone age and modern lawnmowers discreetly stored away.
This was far more than a B & B; it was an experience, a trip back in time and memories which we will cherish until we find an excuse to come back again.
Tea and coffee pots were silver as was the cutlery and again Alisha was ready to answer any questions but not imposing and only appearing when needed. She is the granddaughter of the previous owner and it is clear that she intends to create a Renaissance of the glory days in this part of Donegal where quaint little villages abound.
