We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lynwood House. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful, the house and rooms are gorgeous and the breakfast tray in the morning was such a lovely touch. We hope to come back again soon!

Gorgeous old house

Absolutely beautiful old house with a shabby chic vibe although if you look closely some parts are very shabby! Despite this it has an old world charm that makes you feel warm inside
Sadly it wasn’t warm in real terms as there is no central heating however there were oil filled radiators on the hall so we helped ourselves and got it cosy
We were in room six which has a large very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. There is a sea view but it’s of spike island so not that great
It’s a fair walk out of Cobh so we were reliant on the car
The family who run it were lovely and we would definitely stay again if we were in the area

Excellent guesthouse, centrally located in Cobh, excellent freshly cooked breakfast provided and a very helpful local host. We will definitely be back!

Exception in every possible way.

The accommodations were both lovely and comfortable with a commanding view across Cobh Harbor. The rooms are tastefully appointed and the water pressure in the shower is second to none. We’ve never felt cleaner. The location is convenient and within a short and scenic walk along the water’s edge to the seaport village. Lynwood Place is teaming with historic charm and grace and the proprietors, Finn and Peter, along with their lovely children are terrific. No reason to skip out on their breakfast as I’m sure you could not duplicate the quality, ambience, attention to detail and warmth in any cafe in the village. It was exceptional in every possible way.
