Cosy room, great breakfast and host

I loved my stay at the Rugged Glen. The room was extra cosy and spacious. Breakfast was sensational. The hosts are great and they gave us super tips to visit marvellous places we had no idea they existed. We did not have a car and the Walk from the village was really long and on a very busy road. If you go by car it should be no issue, but I would not recommend it if you don’t. However, Chris drove us for free on the day of our departure. The bathroom was not the most modern, but all was clear and functioning. There is also a fridge in the room.

The Rugged Glen was a wonderful base to explore the Ring of Beara

The room was large, the location was quiet, away from the road. Nevertheless, you are in the town with restaurants and pubs with live music in just a few minutes.
The super friendly hosts prepared an excellent breakfast for us in the morning, as requested.

Brilliant B&B and great hosts. Great location for exploring the Beara Peninsula.

I have stayed here numerous times and if I am ever in fantastic West Cork then I will be booking with Chris and Mary. They are both so friendly and very accomodating and couldnt be more helpful during my stays both as a solo traveller and with family. The B&B is a home from home in a great location for exploring the Beara Peninsula and Ring of Kerry. The village of Glengarriff has plenty to offer with lots of brilliant things to see and do in the immediate area. If you are planning a trip to this brilliant part of the country stay here!

What a wonderful place to spend our Family-Holidays ☀️!

We felt very welcome from the first moment, Chris and Mary offer a great hospitality ! Chris even gave us a lift one day to find the difficult start of a trail we wanted to explore. Very kind of him! The breakfast is gorgeous and you don‘t need any more food until dinner . Our flat was very comfortable, cosy, clean and very well equiped. We love the place and hope to come back soon! All the best to Mary & Chris and lots of happy customer at all times!

My parents and I loved this accomodation! The rooms are cozy and you have everything you need. Chris and Mary are fabulous - they have the best advices for this beautiful part of Ireland and you need to try the Irish breakfast they offer!! It really was a 10/10 hosting experience and I am traveling a lot :)
