I love this hostel, great location and includes breakfast

Stayed here from Oct. 2-6/25 for 4 days; I came back to this place again because I liked staying here due to the central location and the fact it had breakfast included; I was last here in June 2023.
The place was clean, reception was big with several people that can help, This one employee posed for a picture when I was taking pictures of the reception area, so when I checked-in it was fast and simple, I got a room card key, 4 breakfast coupons and wifi log-in details were posted on a chalkboard in the reception lobby area, the door to the stairwell is locked for security, and the stairs had colorful artistic pictures of musicians, African animals, even Nelson Mandela.
My room was on the first floor, room 15, bed 2,I had a 12-bed dorm room, the room was decent and clean, you had the key card provided to get into the room.
Each floor had several small bathrooms, a shower room with a sink.
In the basement there was a big cafeteria style seating area and an industrial type kitchen area.
At the far end of the café area in a small garden style seating area and bag storage. You go through another door to go for breakfast which there’s signs pointing the way to breakfast.
Breakfast was decent though it is mostly cold items meat, cheese, cereals, bread, boiled eggs, oranges, apples, sausage rolls, baby pancakes coffee and juices. They provided much of the same as the last time and it is the biggest reason I like staying here. I will definitely come back.
4.5 of 5 for food choice and quality
5 of 5 for location
4.5 of 5 for security and safety
4.75 of 5 overall

We stayed in the annex. The room and the toilet/shower room were clean and well presented. The bed was comfortable and the staff at the desk were helpful and answered all our questions. Thanks!

Great location and friendly staff and visitors

Atmosphere was great. Cute beer garden and clean well set rooms.
Little difficult to maneuver around in the rooms when multiple people are coming and going due to the large rolling lockers under the beds but they are convenient for anyone looking for more secure storage options, you just need to bring a lock or hope the 8 euro locks they offer at the front desk don't snap off in the wind.
Towels are 5 euro, bathrooms are nice, just time things with your new friends and bring and eye mask and ear plugs as it's a hostel and who knows when folks are coming and going.

Everything is okay.

Everything is perfect.
Location
Cleanliness
Room and bathroom
A note regarding the presence of staff during the nighttime hours.
To communicate during our stay about the presence of a man who was presumably drunk outside our room trying to enter.
Certainly because he was in the wrong room.
Not having received a response from the reception.
We stood guard for about an hour.
The reception and breakfast staff were fantastic.

My 20th return visit

I absolutely love staying in the Abbey Court hostel, it's right in the heart of Dublin City. I am a regular guest,as a person who participate in running events held in Dublin. Abbey Court hostel is ideal for me. Yeah it's basic but still offers a clean bed to rest your head and lovely shower. On the landings they have many more showers and toilets.
The staff are amazing l absolutely love this homely hostel l have meet people who l have shared a room with from all over the world.
I can honestly say anyone who puts up a review that they were moved from the room was nothing but trouble. The staff have a strict no anti social behaviour policy.
Staff are amazing and would do anything for people who stay in Abbey Court. I am staying in Abbey Court hostel since 2019 and I have never had a problem as a solo female it absolutely means so much.
I be definitely back to stay in the next few weeks.
