Perfect for a short stay.

This was perfect for a short stay of two nights. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower had lots of hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were good and if we needed any more of anything we could go to the Coliemore pub next door. We had breakfast at local cafes each day as the pub didn’t open until 10.

A stay in Dalkey

When looking to stay in Dalkey you aren’t spoilt for choice. I searched and found the Coliemore. What I found was a comfortable, clean room with a warm welcome.
The bed and pillows were comfy and water was provided. The temperature remained consistent too.
Could some room details be updated, yes possibly but this wouldn’t deter me from returning.

Get rid of this bed

The accommodation was clean, but it appears that at least a full bottle bleach was emptied into the room just before we arrived. It was so overpowering we had to open windows wide and leave the room for 2 hours. The worst aspect of the room was the design of the bed. Both my partner and I sustained shin injuries. There is no reason to have extreme stuck out solid wood corners. I’m pretty sure staff must have sustained injuries when making the bed. We had to makeshift protection with our cases.
It’s such a shame simple adjustments would have improved this review
