Four lovely days in this lovely place.
It is within walking distance to the city and there is room for 4 cars on the site's parking lot and it is free otherwise there is street parking with payment during the day hours.
We managed to park on the checklist every day.
We booked room #3 and it was great as it is away from the road and morning sun.
Here is a little sound and if you are sensitive and sleep easy it can disturb but it was not a problem for us.
The room was cleaned every day, clean towels every day.
New coffee/smoothies and water on can for the coffee were also filled up every day.
Breakfast was alletiders and simply so delicious.
Fresh fruit salad, yogurt and all kinds of cornflakes. Scones, croissant, rug bread and 4 kinds of bright bread, juice, water, coffee and the.
So delicious.
We would love to stay here again if we come back here.
I should not forget to mention the staff.
They were cute, nice and very helpful all.

Bad nights sleep
The water tank spent the whole night emptying and refilling so I was awake for hours listening to the noise of water gurgling / splashing and ballcocks hissing directly beside my room.
Not great preparation for the Connemarathon the next morning I can tell you.

The pros and the cons.
I booked Asgard B&B due to good reviews and its very reasonable rate on booking.com, the only place I could seem to book it on. It was close enough to Galway city centre and it would be a nice way to meet other people on my solo trip.
Upon arrival at check in, I was given my keys to my room with bathroom and shown a map where everything was. Then I was told that because of how I booked the room, I would be required to pay an additional 30 Euro - 10 euro per day for breakfast, as breakfast was not included in my “B&B” booking. I felt like I was being shaken down and didn’t want to dampen my experience so I submitted and supplied the payment for my breakfast. This did start things off negatively for me.
My room was simple with a tiny bathroom but clean with all the necessities I would need and it overlooked the lovely little garden in the back. Night was quite peaceful and guests overall were very quiet and respectful. I could faintly make out snoring from the room next to me and a talking on the phone but it was tolerable.
I wish there had been a common area to sit and meet other travelers but they were using the space for the breakfast.
Breakfast was a continental breakfast with scones, fresh mini croissants, mixed fruit, cereals, cold cuts, cheese and yogurt. It was
good. It is served from 8-10am. As my visit wore on though the food was all fresh except for the scones.
The only other odd thing was the machine in my shower. I believe it heated the water on demand so when I would turn it on by pushing a button, it would begin to grumble loudly while the water ran. It was interesting.
All in all, I found Asgard to be a colorful experience with an unsavory cash grab, a pretty garden, a bizarre shower and a quiet sleep. Will I stay there again, likely no. Did I choose to lean into its quirkiness, yes. Did it kind of grow on me. Sure.

Overall good.
The location was excellent and close to lots of Galway attractions. I would stay there again, but only if I didn’t have a car.
