Family Fun

We have just returned from another fantastic trip to Amber Springs. This is our third visit in the last year, each one bettering the last trip.
The location is excellent. We always take a stroll into Gorey (5mins) to enjoy the shops, especially the bakeries. Ballymoney beach is roughly 10mins away. A simply stunning bay. (Check out Sybil's Sauna)
The atmosphere in the hotel is always warm and welcoming. This is largely driven by the mixture of young, energetic staff and older, experienced staff who are always on hand to help.
The rooms are spacious and immaculate. It's important to mention the box for smallies to stand on for brushing teeth/using the toilet. A lovely touch.
The facilities are 10/10. It's hard to mention all of them. We enjoyed the pool, the farm, crazy golf, go karting, the football pitch, the soft play area and the beautiful new bowling alley. We also visited the sensory room and the games room.
The food has actually gone up a notch since out last visit. And on that occasion is was excellent. The kids menu is extensive. The adults enjoyed the Asian offerings on both nights and they were delicious. Lovely to see the young summer staff enjoying their work in the restaurant. They are great assets to the hotel.
We met a number of Amber Springs first timers and it was the same comment "oh my God, how is this our first time here!". They were genuinely amazed.
The hotel has been winning local and National Awards for some time now and it is easy to understand why.
The Senior Management team and staff should be very proud of their achievements. They are the hotels greatest asset.
We cannot wait for our next trip.

The hotel was clean and we arrived at lunchtime thinking our room would not be ready until it 4 and it was ready.
Only criticism is my daughter was looking forward to the train and it wasn’t running.
Dinner was also a disaster. We booked for 6:45 and asked could we have the kids food as soon as it was ready so it could cool
down. (3 year old and a one year old) 45 minutes later mine and my husbands mains came but the kids food didn’t come for another 15 minutes. So difficult to keep kids distracted for that long and as a family hotel this should have been better. (Kids biggest and chips and bowl of mash with gravy doesn’t take an hour)
Would recommend the hotel but definitely not the dinner situation.

Amazing for family staycations

We had a fabulous time recently during our stay at Amber Springs. We had awful weather in June while we stayed there but it didn’t matter.
Our 1 and 3 year old had plenty to do indoors to keep them occupied. I couldn’t fault anything in the hotel to be honest, cleanliness, staff, facilities, atmosphere were all brilliant. It was our first time staying and we can’t wait until our next stay here.

Little issues with the room but Shannon finally sorted it, much appreciated and will return because of her,
breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone’s tastebuds, pool and sauna were fantastic, reception were lovely, I had 2 teenagers with me and they spent a lot of time in the bowling alley as it also had some games and air hockey also crazy golf for them

Terrible manager avoid this hotel at all costs!!

Really bad experience here due to the manager Kevin has happened twice and nothing done about it shocking
Behaviour ruined the whole experience used to love coming here with the kids every summer but due to Kevin’s aggressive attitude he doesn’t care if your kids are with you it’s like he is on some sort of substance his eyes are popping out of his head and he is really aggressive towards guests for no reason, it is going to put a lot of people going to this hotel I will be never back again over this shocking behaviour and all the staff turn a blind eye to it!
