Lovely stay, friendly welcoming staff, good food, nice pool!
Went for a night away with my husband. Found the staff helpful and friendly, the rooms are modern and spacious, love the robe and slippers and using the pool and jacuzzi. We had an evening drink in the lovely outdoor area beside the bar. The food was lovely in the restaurant for dinner. Thanks for a great stay! When we checked out, Ballymoney beach was only a ten minute drive away :)

A wonderful return visit to ashdown and it did not disappoint again.
The hotel is lovely, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Fans can be requested in this hot weather as there is no air conditioning. Staff are wonderful and friendly and courteous. Pool facilities are great staff excellent here too and the spa is a real treat with exceptional therapists. Just make sure you clarify if you have spa credit what it can be used against when booking the spa. Food was gorgeous in the rowan restaurant. A big improvement on my last trip which included bar food in The Ivy Bar.

Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel with ample parking. No kids in pool after 6.30pm which I didn't check first.
Restaurant food was beautiful. Arrived hot and very tasty. Would stay here again as it's close to friends.

Just average or below
I ordered steak which they said cake with salad chips ,& sauce. ...I said no rocket in the salad as I can't digest it. But mixed salad. I got 4 cherry tomatoes cut up that was the salad. I asked staff to get me a small salad of baby gem on the menu and red onion which I eventually got. Meal was average. Burger was other meal . I think 48€ for both.. but burger was 23 € which is expensive for that ..bar serving food where we were was totally empty ..about 6 people in the whole place around 7.pm.
