Great location

We’ve just had a fantastic week in Enniscrone staying In one of these self-catering houses. The location couldn’t be closer to the beach, playground, mini golf and the Main Street. We were able to go straight from the sea to the shower. Even though we were so close to a busy area the house was very sound-proofed and we couldn’t even hear our neighbours. It’s a real home away from home where we could have a nice homemade meal and a lovely fire at night. Very easy to keep socially distant here.

Worst place I have ever stayed

The bed was absolutely terrible, there was a bad smell ,furniture was old just the worst place I have ever stayed not clean, very disappointing was mould on the tiles in the shower ,the place needs to be updated badly. Feel bad having to pay good money staying in a bad place ,I would not recommend this place stay away and use your money somewhere else.

Booking system a total shambles, avoid their self catering houses

Total shambles that ruined a family holiday
I booked both houses and had confirmation through Ocean Sands that both houses were definitely booked then the week before told they were never available even though my booking was still showing as live.
The hotel did accommodate us but this involved moving rooms mid trip, checking out and checking in during the period of our original booking as the hotel could not accommodate us in the hotel for the entire duration of our booking, which completely ruined our trip as we couldn't unpack and relax and took us away from valuable time with our family.

disappointing

This bed and breakfast is now part of the Ocean Sands Hotel which is up the street. We arrived on a very stormy evening, checked in at the Ocean Sands reception and were given a code for the outside door and our room number. There is limited parking in front of the premises which was full and the Ocean Sands Car Park was also full but we found parking on the street. The code for the door did not work so we returned to reception where we were given the correct code. We finally got into the b and b to find that that the room we were allocated had not been cleaned or made up from the previous occupants. Back to reception again and asked to wait while it was sorted out and given a voucher for a drink at the bar. About half an hour later we were given the option of staying in the hotel at the same rate or waiting for the room to be made up. It was now about 5.30 in the evening and we had driven a long journey so we opted to stay in the hotel. To be fair the reception staff were very pleasant. We went to our room which was fine, there was a power outage later that night due to the storm. There does not appear to be a back up generator as there was no light in the rooms or bathroom for a number of hours and we had to use our phones for light during this time. Power returned in time for breakfast which we had before we continued our journey. Would not return to Ceol na Mara as there does not appear to be any staff on site to manage this place

Very disappointing

Booked 2 beach houses for our family over 6 months ago, my card details were taken and when I requested an email confirmation I was informed they don't do email but was assured my booking was confirmed and was "in the book" and to take their word. I rang by chance to request a baby chair only to be told they had no record of my booking and could not recall any details and nothing could be done. Very unprofessional, no apology and zero communication. Its unacceptable to run a business in this day and age with no communication. Now 2 families are left with no holiday and no chance of arranging alternative accommodation now. Disgraceful.
