A nice chilled Confirmation lunch

We celebrated our daughter’s confirmation in the Kerry Way last Friday. As I was quite late booking they said they would be able to accommodate us in the bar as opposed to the dining room . They set up the cutest table at the end of the bar and we got the warmest of welcomes from the restaurant staff who made a big fuss of all our kids. The lunch was really nice and we felt right at home there we didn’t find the three hours pass. Thank you for making our daughter’s special day so memorable

Fantastic Lunch at The Kerry Way

We had a fantastic lunch at The Kerryway. Lunch was in the bar which was bright and clean with a classic old pub ambiance.
The wait staff was professional, attentive and friendly. But, it was the food that really sold the place.
My wife had The Kerry Burger which was a double, bacon cheeseburger with a side of perfectly cooked fries and delicious slaw. Very tasty and enough for leftovers.
I have been trying steak sandwiches all over Ireland this summer and this was the best I have had by far. It was tender and juicy with perfectly grilled onions and portobello mushrooms and a delicious pepper sauce. It came with fries and a salad. And for the Yanks, there was plenty of Heinz ketchup for the fries (also mayo for The Brits).
I sent my appreciation to the chef, I believe her name was Shirley (I apologize if I have not remembered correctly).
If you’re in the area, check The Kerryway out. You won’t be disappointed.

Cheap and nasty, avoid

Don't ever fall for room number one, the kitchen extractor is outside the window, which wouldn't be so bad if it was decent double glazing but they seem to have fitted the only double glazing that doesn't keep out noise or keep in heat, which may not be so bad if they weren't on a main road with noisy traffic and an extractor like a jet engine. The food was average but more than average price. The first room I got, the lock didn't work, the curtains are tissue paper so most will wake at 6am and the TV is unfathomable. Impossible to get a programme out of, even Netfix which is allegedly on it. I drive trucks and my office books me into some cheapsht places, this is worse than motorway services at a much higher price. If it's not raining, better to sleep in a field

Great!

Great food, excellent service. Had lunch here yesterday and couldn't fault it. Portions were big and everything was extremely tasty. Fantastic value for money. Will definitely be coming back to sample more of the menu.
