Highly recommended

A wonderful experience. Driven here and asked at the door if there were any rooms available. So 2 rooms for our family. Very friendly people. Enjoyed a real Irish breakfast. Definitely recommended to book a room

Wonderful bed and breakfast

Very nice bed and breakfast and very comfortable. Breakfasts are delicious and Oodonagh is really charming.
Located very close to the center of Kilkenny.

One of the best B & B’s.

Super welcoming hosts. Nothing too much trouble. Spotlessly clean. Complementary bottled water, toiletries… tea coffee biscuits.
Amazing breakfast… scrambled egg and salmon and full Irish. Homemade soda bread and scones, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and rhubarb compote absolutely delicious.
Honestly one of the best b n b’s. 5 minute walk to the center of town. Highly recommended.

My stay at Carraig Rua was simply wonderful. Una and her husband are absolutely adorable hosts who made us smile feel incredibly welcome from the moment we arrived. Their warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for our entire stay. And the breakfast? Absolutely unreal! Every morning, we were treated to a delicious, freshly prepared feast that exceeded all our expectations. If you're looking for a place that feels like a home away from home, with hosts who genuinely care about your experience, Carraig Rua is the perfect choice.

First-class in Kilkenny!

Vasso and I loved this place. Oonagh and Phillip are just excellent! A first-class guesthouse well located just outside the center city. A fine breakfast served by happy Oonagh and Phillip, the gentleman! Rooms are very nice, and the guesthouse is classy. Sunny, glassed-in breakfast room is gorgeous with beautiful green marble flooring. The serving area has lovely dark wood flooring and beautiful china as decoration. Great sitting room and a fine rear lawn if you want to relax outside. We will return, … no doubts.
