A little tired, but great staff.

We stayed as we were over for a family reunion to celebrate an aunty and needed somewhere close to Castletown to stay.
Location for what we needed was great. Easy to find & right by the airport. We had two double rooms which were comfy, although not spacious and like the whole place really needs a good lick of paint and some TLC. It was spotlessly clean though. To be honest the whole place is a little run down; but it’s a 3* so maybe I expected too much.
The staff were great (special shout out for Tania who absolutely went above & beyond the call of duty).
I would stay again, so……..

Worst hotel Ive ever stayed in

This is the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at i know its budget but its 2026 and should be a certain standard . The carpet was, badly stained as was the bed and the shower was disgusting with horrible brown stains on the broken shower curtain . Our room wasn't cleaned in 7 days I had to ask the cleaner for clean towels after 4 days and she replied 'you'll be lucky the laundry hasn't come ' . The final straw, was when having breakfast I looked down and under the table was a Rentakil box not something you want to see while eating . Ive stayed in Premier inns which are classed as budget but they do have clean fresh rooms which are cleaned . Breakfast was OK but they'd tun out of butter and fruit one day . We were desperate as the Flacons best cancelled our room a week before coming over and this place had a room . Staff were nice though

Great hotel and near to the airport

Very friendly staff and a good choice of breakfast. Rooms were small but the hotel was walkable to Castletown as there is not much to do at the hotel itself. Overnight stay was

Excellent value and a perfect base to explore the island if you don't have a car

I stayed here one time when my flight was cancelled, and I'm so glad I did because it's now my favourite place to stay on the island as it's half the price of staying in Douglas and continental breakfast and WiFi are included.
Despite being 5 mins walk from the airport it's extremely quiet and relaxed, and although there is nothing by way of shops and restaurants in the immediate area there are frequent buses from outside the airport terminal which will take you to Castletown in a few minutes and which continue to south to Port Erin and north to Douglas. The IOM Steam Railway station at Ronaldsway is 10 mins walk away.
The rooms are basic but you get a desk and a shower and plenty of electrical outlets, and the staff are lovely.
All in all excellent value and highly recommended if you don't need to be anywhere fancy, and it's the perfect base to explore the island if you don't have a car.

READ MY PREViOUS REVIEW

Please read my previous review of this hotel. Make sure you read small print before you sign as you are UNDER CONTRACT. They don't mention this to you on arrival . We had noise issues during night on first 2 nights and got told from Kate it was noisy on our first night and she had to address people. It was NOT from room next door like they answered too so completely wrong.
For a Managing Director to say to a Customer I CAN'T GAG EVERY ONE THAT COMES IN. That says it all.
We left as there was no other rooms available. For Guests that are NOISY and take no notice they should have in there contract they must leave, but they won't do that as they want the money.
The genuine guests just have to put up with it.
Also to promise to call you back and I eventually had to call in myself and see what was happening bad too. Like I said suffer with anxiety made no difference.
We didn't ask for a full refund just a partial as a gesture of goodwill and that is the response I got from CLAIRE COWLEY Managing Director.
No more to say on the Sefton but be careful and look around. Nice reception staff and good breakfast but as for Managers say no more.
