Southern 100

Stayed here for a few days to watch the Southern 100 races. And do the TT course
Perfect Base the room was clean and tidy and cleaned daily. The staff were helpful breakfast was fresh and plentyful. Great value for money.

Do not book this hotel unless your ok with smells and below basic rooms

Absolutely disgusted with smell as soon as you walk through the door. No reception you have to go to the hotel two down to check in. Wardrobe door fell off and shower door hinging off in elderly parents room. The lounge was like student digs though I think that’s an insult to students. There was a cooker socket in one of the showers . We had look for alternative accommodation as soon as we went through door. Went back to reception but was told they didn’t have anywhere to put us though Glen Mona nearly as bad too. Two guys checked in same night and we met them during our stay . We all had reported the state to tourist board. Nightmare I wouldn’t recommend this

HORRENDOUS - NEEDS SHUT DOWN!!!

Have never seen a worse hotel. How this is classed as 4* is beyond believe!!! Health & safety issues and hazards everywhere. Left with 4 disabled family members late on Friday night to find alternative accommodation as there was noway we could/would stay here.
We queried photos we had seen on trip advisor with hotel before we arrived & where told they where incorrect - they where 100% correct.
This “hotel” is not only a disgrace but an embarrassment to Isle of Man tourism!!

Not very modern but a good place to stay

My room was quiet and came with hairdryer, kettle & complimentary coffee/tea and a rather modern bathroom. I found my bed very comfortable and slept well. The staff at the reception next door was very kind & helpful and always ready for a chat.
I could not lock the room door from the inside and as the door were closing automatically with a bang I found this loud at night when other guests came home. In my room the window was broken and couldn’t be properly opened.
The carpet in the room and the entire public areas was worn, slightly dirty and poses a fire hazard.

May have been 4 Star when the Petrol was.

While reasonably clean I found the hotel to be very dated and worn, the light in the room didn't work, light in the bathroom hanging down toilet handle was coming off - not up to a 4 Star standard by any level of expectation.
