A gem on the hillside

One never expects to be hosted well when accompanying a loved family member during his extended hospital stay. This little gem is located within the campus of the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. The staff is welcoming, the sleep is sound, the meals are perhaps in the range of "typical plus" and the kashruth is impeccable It well served our needs. Plus, the view of the surrounding hills from the panorama dining room is a treat of its own.

Worst hotel in Jerusalem

Stay away. First they quoted one price on their own web site and charged a higher price when we checked in. They refused to honor web site price even though the room was booked through their own website! Nobody from the hotel would even discuss it. Subsequent calls to management were useless.
The hotel itself was shabby aged. Towels were threadbare, the elevators didnt work and there were no stairs to the garage so you had to walk around the whole parking mall to get to your car.

Staff Misled Us and were Unhelpful

We called up before we came to make sure the food was within our requirements (Kosher with the right Hechsher) and were assured it was. Although the price was beyond our budget we thought it would be worth it if we got breakfast as well. We also made sure to ask when we arrived and were again told it is all good (Bedatz). When the breakfast arrived it was not. (Bedatz, although it may be that the other meals are). I tried to contact the hotel and complain as well as warn them I would write a bad review but they never bothered to respond and were altogether not interested.

Too pricy

We spent one night in the hotel due to some medical procedures. The room was moderate in size, clean with the simplest necessities, the bathroom was OK. However, a good renovation and uplifting will do them both a great favor. Also, for some reason basic stuff like extra pillows or blankets and even the usual hotel booklet was missing. The TV had few channels, many in various languages. Due to the Covid pandemic, breakfast was served in the room in disposable dishes, not a great feeling. The staff was very friendly. In all, we had kind of a gloomy feeling in the room and mostly it did not justify the price.

Beautiful views, helpful staff

This hotel services people who have relatives in the adjacent hospital, mothers/fathers who have just given birth to babies, tour groups and others. For those who do not have a connection with the hospital, the location adjacent to the hospital may not be alluring. However, the mountain views are quite beautiful, the food varied and plentiful, the staff helpful and the prices very reasonable. For those who have relatives or friends in the hospital and are looking for a place to stay - this is ideal.
