We were so happy and at home when we arrived

We loved our stay here and were so happy when we arrived! We nearly had to cancel due to road closures and they were so understanding and were going to waive our cancellation fee. Luckily the roads opened so we could in the end and we were so so happy to be there. It felt like being at your grandparent’s house, so comfortable and clean. Both hosts were very lovely and welcoming and a beautiful dog too! Would recommend to friends staying at the Dead Sea. Much nicer than those awful commercial hotels along the sea front!

Like Robinson Crusoe, it's primitive as can be

Room is very basic and the room itself is small. The bed is old and hard and the bathroom requires navigation to get into the toilet if you want to sit. Room is small but no frills. outside is ok if you don't mind all the cats. Beware of the local bugs in general as my partner was bitter by a Scorpion in the BBQ area and had to go to see a doctor and get pain medication, however this is not due to the guest rooms itself and is more to do with the area

Good for 1 night

The room was nice and clean, it has a double bed, en suite toilet and shower. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, a TV, a kettle, fridge and microwave. It was overpriced as it was 425 shekels for 1 night, but prices in Israel are expensive so is probably not too bad compared to the fancy dead sea hotels.
There is next to nothing to do in Neve Zohar, there is a beach you can swim at near the Leonardo Hotel a 10 or so min walk away. I think it is OK to stay here, but no more than 1 night. If you are visiting the Dead sea and need a place to break up your journey it is good.
The guy was nice enough, you have to pay in cash and he left the key in the room for us so we could check in about midday.
The main drawback is that there are no shops or restaurants in (or that near) Neve Zohar, which is especially difficult if visiting on public transport. Make sure you have enough food with you, although there is no place to cook in the room (only microwave, kettle and fridge).

Good choice if you are in the Dead Sea area

Both the room and the bathroom were clean, tidy and big enough. The lady was very nice. We couldn't spend much time there but our stay was pretty comfortable. Still I believe that Israeli accommodations are expensive but at least everything was ok with this one.

by FAR the best option at the dead sea

I spent almost a week at Gil's guest house and can say it is certainly one the of the best options in the area IF you have a car. The hotel scene is absolutely horrible around there, overpriced, and overrated. You are in the desert, and not really any options for anything, but this guest house knows how to make it very comfortable, and they are super sweet, friendly and fair people running it!
