Clean room. We stayed in a superior room, which was nice, but had some small issues in the bathroom.

The rooms are great... AC works great, bed super comfortable but the bath had black mold at certain place.
The pool is amazing... the staff at the bar are wonderful! As for the restaurant... if there is VIP's at the same time... you are left behind. Food is too expensive for what it is. We had dinner at the Four point Mama Sea (walkable distance) once and the service and food was amazing. Should have had dîner there all the time! One thing that was weird at both restaurant... if you order an appetizer with a meal or a Primo and Secundo... they bring it all at the same. I think you have to specify to bring it separately!
Other than the restaurant... I give the hotel 4.5 but with the restaurant... a 3.

Great hotel, we had a lovely time. The room was nice and cool, which was needed. Cleaning was perfect. Pool is large, swimming in the sea is nice and easy.
The only drawback would be the bar and restaurant. The bar is way too expensive, unreasonably so. The staff in the bar are friendly and professional, except for one or two individuals who came off as quite rude when they realised we didn’t speak Italian.
The restaurant is very good, but the experience can vary a lot. One evening was very nice and calm with quick service, but another evening felt like an extreme rush, slow serving, lack of cutlery, no wine list being presented and the food completely lacking in quality (which was amended quickly, but still the service can be lacking at times)
All in all a great experience.

Five stars are almost not enough!
A truly wonderful hotel, in a dream location directly on the sea. The property is beautiful and the atmosphere is simply fantastic.
The real strong point, however, is the staff: everyone is very kind, helpful, and always smiling. You feel welcomed and pampered from the very first moment.
Comfortable and clean rooms, excellent service, elegant environment, and truly excellent cuisine.
A fantastic stay that made us feel right at home. Highly recommended!

Catania coast
The coastline and seafront setting of the hotel are beautiful, and swimming in the sea, although access requires going down through the rocks, is a lovely experience. However, having a sunbed by the water requires an additional payment.
The hotel itself has a charming colonial style, but in terms of overall standards, I would not consider it a five-star hotel, or even a four-star hotel. Breakfast is adequate, but certainly not of the standard one would expect from a hotel in this category.
The most disappointing aspect was the check-out policy. Check-in is only from 3 p.m., yet check-out is at 10 a.m. This is the first hotel I have stayed at where guests are not allowed to remain by the pool for even a few hours after checking out without paying an additional €50 per person. Given that new guests only check in from 3 p.m., it is difficult to understand the reason for such a restrictive policy.
Considering the cost of the stay, this felt particularly unwelcoming and left a very disappointing final impression.
