Magic Christmas

We stayed in this wonderful B & B from December 23 to 27... magical atmosphere attention to detail ... Christmas decorations ... just opened the door I felt enveloped by a wonderful atmosphere ... last day we met Giovanni the owner ... very kind and helpful person ... made us visit the other rooms and the spa ... a treat ... also the location is fantastic ... a stone's throw from the main street what to say ... thank you I keep in my heart a beautiful memory.

What’s around Heart of Altamura

Fantastic stay in the heart of Altamura. Room with attention to detail and direct and immediate contact with the host. Good breakfast but at a very crowded bar on Sunday morning, includes coffee / cappuccino and croissant.

Rejuvenating Experience at Mattei Luxury Spa

The Mathey Luxury Wellness Center in Altamura is a true oasis of relaxation. I found the environment elegant and welcoming, with an atmosphere that invites well-being. The Jacuzzi, sauna and emotional showers were the highlight of my experience. The herbal tea corner was the perfect finishing touch for a complete moment of relaxation. I highly recommend this center to those looking for a total wellness experience in Altamura.

A gem

In the center of Altamura the owner has renovated an old structure in an extraordinary way. We stayed in the beautiful suite, furnished with great taste. Nothing is missing, there is extreme attention to detail. A beautiful atmosphere. Mr. Mattei is an exquisite person. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful, Exceptionally Clean and Stylish Property with a Great Host in the Heart of Altamura!

Highly recommended. Stayed here on our first night in Puglia after landing in Naples. The owner, Giovanni, was absolutely delightful. He was very communicative prior to our arrival, so that we all on the same page with details about when we would arrive, etc. The property is in the old city, so you have to park in street parking about 5 minutes walk away. When we pulled into our spot, Giovanni magically appeared with a very capable translator and helped us get our parking payment set up and then guided us to the lodging. While he does not speak a lot of English, nor do we speak a lot of Italian, this was no problem at all. Between the translator and google translate, we communicated perfectly. The property itself is beautiful, and it has been carefully renovated. There are three adjoining rooms to rent; we were in the smallest. Giovanni gave us a tour of the other two, and we'll likely stay in one of the larger rooms next time we visit. Everything was executed with great Italian style that blends historical details with modern touches. It is exceptionally clean and well cared for. The room was warm, quiet, and just lovely. The bed was firm and extremely comfortable (memory foam). The towels were divine! The shampoo, conditioner, etc. were packaged in sustainable materials and much appreciated. Giovanni contacted us periodically via WhatsApp while we were there, making sure that we had everything we needed. He even went to a couple of typical restaurants to find us a table for dinner on short notice. It was just a wonderful experience overall. Stay here! You won't be sorry. Can't wait to go back to this fascinating city, and we will definitely stay at Mattei Luxury B&B!!
