HUMILIATED ON THE PHONE BY THE OWNER
The staff proved cold and aloof.
EXTREMELY SERIOUS EPISODE: in the evening a waiter provided me with a simple cup of hot water to take a drug. She had trouble making it so she asked a colleague from the kitchen for help. (so 2 subjects who made me a cup of HOT WATER ONLY) I explicitly asked if I should pay and if I could bring it to the room, and I was told that I owed nothing, authorizing me to take it with me. The next day, after I had already paid and left the hotel, I was contacted by phone by the owner who, on the basis of the discovery of a cup in the room by the cleaning women, accused me of HAVING MADE MY OWN HERBAL TEA BY SNEAKING INTO THE BAR. as no waiter present in the morning had admitted to having made it. I tried to explain what happened, but without ANY LISTENING she was convinced of her madness: the conversation degenerated into screams and insults, with an extremely rude and arrogant attitude. I HAD NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN ACCUSED OF SUCH AN ABSURD THING AND ABOVE ALL TAKEN TO VERY HEAVY INSULTS ON LOUD VOICE WITH MY SON NEXT TO IT
This behaviour is unacceptable, which unfortunately also reflects the climate of evident tension perceived between the employees of the facility towards the owner.

Hotel cold
In the room the heaters were not always running, especially in the evening and early in the morning. Even in the restaurant you eat well, but the room was quite cool; despite the fireplace burning on the second night, the heat was not evenly distributed.
Also that the second night we could not get a coffee because there was no one at the bar.
The spa area, which we were looking forward to, unfortunately did not convince us: the environment and water were not warm enough, so much so that we managed to stay only a few minutes, despite the cost of 60 €.
Overall, the winter experience was not fully satisfactory. Probably in summer the hotel can offer the best of itself.

Little empathy, much economy!
The weak point is instead represented by the lack of empathy of the various professionals with whom you come into contact: apart from Mrs. Denise (who received us at reception) and the cleaning lady (who we saw on departure) from other people we only heard monosyllable answers.
Maybe we stayed only two nights of a weekend and we are not loyal customers, but the Processing received was a bit “serie b”, with little or no attention.
We also found that a lot of economy is made, for example breakfast is set up - in a small room without windows - on a table of modest size where there are only sweets: some types of croissants, a couple of cakes, cereals, water, a trio of juices, bread, cold milk, yogurt and a thin fruit salad: the dry biscuits and biscuits as well as jams (all packaged) you have to look for them in the drawers of the table and for the Nutellas to our request was answered that there were not, because "they must arrive" ... about the salty we had to inquire because not being visible anyone says that you can ask for an egg (boiled or scrambled) and the cutting board (which consists of a slice of ham and a salami with a trio of small pieces of cold cheese from the refrigerator) and even for hot drinks there is only one choice that is brought to order ... the supply of croissants is given little (or no) attention and therefore they often go out of stock until zero; the portions of the evening meal (we chose half board) are certainly not generous and even bread is centellinated!
Some tables in the dining room (beautiful and with large windows) have tablecloths, others do not: the first evening we were destined to a round table, beautiful, with tablecloth, while the second (our son's birthday) to one without tablecloth and without underplates (accessory that all the other tables in the room had instead) ... to the waiter to whom we told our son to taste the wine, because it was his birthday, it did not even occur to say a word of circumstance, also the length with which dinner is served is remarkable.
In the room (although equipped with double bathroom, suppose because triple and normally reserved for people with disabilities, which we do not have thanking) and also in the pool we saw spiders and cobwebs, but fortunately we do not suffer from arachnophobia!
For a beautiful place, but far from a center where to find a minimum of life in our opinion it would be useful to aim to satisfy customers as much as possible, even those who stay a few days but like others pay equally for the services offered ... for example, you could find a way to understand the overnight access to the pool that, vice versa, is charged 30 euros (one-off) penalizing those who stay a few days.
Seeing on the Internet that the hotel is being sold we also assumed that there is no longer all that interest in satisfying customers, but going back in the reviews we found comments that already several years ago said the same things that we detect now and therefore continue to repeat over time.
We give the rating of 3 out of 5 in consideration of the external environment and also a bit of the internal one, with the character of a typical Aosta Valley maison.
