Three days of pure relaxation
My intuition is infallible, I chose this bed & breakfast and both my husband and I were very contenti.La very nice room, tastefully decorated, bright and spacious and overlooking mare.La central location is great, and the icing on the cake, having met the owner, very kind and ... issima throughout.

Avoid
Booked thru booking.com who clearly do not check what is going on at their advertised locations. We arrived on what was an emotional trip. 3 brothers visiting the war grave of a late uncle killed at Anzio in 1944. We arrived and the place was a building site. All floors were being replastered with builders, materials,planks, ladders and unfinished electrics everywhere. Had we known we would have rebooked elsewhere. Our rooms were fine having just been refurbed (part of the new works we suspected) there was no WiFi as advertised and breakfast consisted a most basic help itself arrangement. Cellophane wrapped pastries, jam but no butter, fresh bread or toast making facilities Our hostess did not materialise until 8.20 am and was little help as her English is basic in the extreme. Coffee was by nespresso machine which she accused us of breaking. Not sure we did although we could not get it to work. Her response was to become agitated and offensive and insisted we replace it. In normal circumstances we would have told her where to get off but were about to embark on our emotional journey to the cemetary ( which she knew)and we agreed to give 40€ just to shut her up and avoid further confrontation for the remainder of our stay. She was less than gracious and her customer satisfaction approach did not exist. The location is first rate Anzio is very pretty and all others we met were kind and accommodating. Go to Anzio but avoid this place and it’s uncaring and client unfriendly owner

Too Many Hiccups and Lack of Quality Control by Management at this Price Point
We picked Casa Garibaldi for its convenient location and elevator building. The top floor apartment has been recently renovated but the building is still under construction and the sun roof with breakfast area is not yet built. The room is about the same size of a standard hotel room and has a large and well-appointed bathroom and a balcony. The furniture on the balcony was dusty as we checked into the room.
Upon arrival, we notified the housekeeping staff about a non functioning bed side light fixture. The staff tried to change a bulb but that did not work, so he concluded the fixture needed to be changed. Nothing happened for two days until I met the manager at checkout, who looked into it and found the right bulb for it. Apparently the manager was not informed of the issue by her staff member.
The small TV that hangs off the wall has a cracked frame and the screen cannot be tilted so the picture is not clearly visible from one of the beds. I explained this to the manager but there was not immediate solution for this issue.
The central location is unfortunately also a curse as many loud youths tend to gather outside a bar below the apartment until very late a night and workers start loading and unloading outside the many bars and restaurant early in the morning. The manager is very aware of this, in fact she installed triple-glazed windows, which mitigate but not eliminate the problem. It must be noted that not everyone wants to be out and party till 2am AND be up at 7am with the early shift in the same 24 hours period.
Breakfast includes espresso, decaffeinated tea (black breakfast tea was not available) to be made in a microwave (no kettle), yogurt and packaged pastries. Frankly, for a three room operation, it would have been nice to have fresh croissants or pastries in the morning. One croissant amounts to 1% of the price of the room. This could have easily been accomplished by the housekeeping staff who seems to come in every morning and services the rooms each day.
Overall, we felt Casa Garibaldi has an identity issue and a high-self perception. It's advertised on various sites under "hotel", B&B, and holiday rental. The manager says she is offering a hotel quality product because of the daily room pick-up service. There are, however, too many issues and hiccups that are not immediately addressed: the room was clearly not checked before we arrived, the bed side light issue was not addressed properly and the staff seems not able to communicate to the manager. The TV is clearly an old/second hand TV that does not belong in a brand new room. The packaged breakfast is also not at the level expected at this price-point (we paid 80EUR per night cash in hand and the room is advertised on various sites for up to 100EUR per night and even more on AirBnB). This is unrealistic in a resort town where beach front hotels charge the same but offer more space, pool, bar, better food, quieter rooms and are located on the beach.

CARINO , DETTAGLI DA RIVEDERE, COLAZIONE PESSIMA
Posizion ecentralissima, comoda pe ril porto e per lo shopping se non avete problemi di sonno la location è ottima.
La camera e il bagno puliti ma metterei dele tende sia in bagno sia in camera per non dare spettacolo a tutto il quartiere! seduti sul water si è in mondovisione, idem nel letto
La terrazza della camera molto piacevole così come la terrazza per fare colazione.
La colazione solo docle , nulla di salato, nulla di fresco, molto approssimativa, ho bevto solo il caffè entrambe le mattine.
Cion il minimo impegno potrebbere fare grandi miglioramenti

Posto incantevole
Camera molto bella e molto spaziosa. La struttura è molto ben curata e molto pulita posizione strategica, centralissima, vista stupenda, prezzi molto onesti i proprietari sono molto disponibili e molto professionali
