Do not judge a book by its cover

I stayed here for month, it was my home for a month as I was moving to Arona to teach. Hotel Florida became my home and I stayed here from Feb to March 2017. It was clean, and if I needed it cleaner they were very kind to get onto it. Yes there were some water problems, but again this was seen to.
It is affordable and Gabriella and Franco were kind and humble. They were attentive and helped where ever possible. Breakfast is basic, but with all the bars around, go grab a coffee and fresh brioche or request this if they can get it for you.
Location is wonderful, and yes sometimes the noise level is high, but that is because of the thin walls.
I recommend it for those who want a family run place which was created by the couple with love.

Hell in Arona

I stayed, fortunately only one night. Dirty, cramped room, moldy walls, non-working lights, rusty bidet, shower with only the hose.
practically a dump.
I wonder how I stay open.
a shame. But NAS DOESN'T PASS???

Escape from Milan...

Hotel in a strategic position to visit the Arona lakefront and convenient for the pier!
Clean but old and cold rooms, breakfast a bit poor, recommended for a short stay!

Little info from the manager

I booked by phone, the manager didn't tell me that in front of the hotel there is a square that at night is crowded with young people and makes noise until late and doesn't allow anyone to sleep; another thing: they immediately gave us a room, but without a wardrobe, I mean where do people put stuff? On the ground?

The hotel is not the newest and therefore very rustical. Nevertheless it is clean and the the hosting family is amazingly sweet and obliging. For breakfast we got fresh pastries and bread, along with some snacks for take away. We got a free blue zone Parking Card from the hotel which was valid in the whole region. Wi-fi Internet was free and pretty descent as well.
