A BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE IN ASSISI

As guests of the hotel during a pilgrimage, we had a happy impression.
The hotel is located on the old walls of the San Pietro gate, and the Basilica can be easily reached in a few minutes. It is immersed, like all of Assisi, in silence and tranquility; the rooms are cozy, equipped with a minibar, air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, and fragrant linens, changed every day.
It is a two-star hotel, but the comforts it offers are of superior class.
It is managed by Giuseppe, a delightful and accommodating person who knows hospitality well.
Breakfast is served in the lobby and in the small courtyard at the entrance, in peace and under the shade of a large tree.
The hotel also has a restaurant located 20 meters from the building.
We had full board at €80 per person, and we had lunch and dinner, enjoying genuine and abundant dishes; Giuseppe then walks between the tables offering seconds...
If you wish to be close to the bus stops, near the Basilica, in a place full of silence, if your vacation in Assisi is meant to be one of relaxation and serenity, then: The Dimora is the right place.
I will return with pleasure, and thanks to all the staff for their generous availability.

Big disappointment

A big disappointment.
Does not meet the written reviews in any way.
The managers get in each other's way, spin around and are not competent to operate that little hotel.
Breakfast at 8am but you won't see a cat. After breakfast it will be closed. Overcrowded ashtray on terrace stays for days.
The lady who cleans there blocks the elevator with the cleaning equipment, probably not on purpose, but also due to incompetence I think.
The man at reception unfriendly, is against his will.
You certainly don't feel welcome there!

Always nice to return.

I had stayed at this hotel years ago; now the management has changed, but the rooms remain comfortable, as does the courtesy of the managers. Good breakfast, included in the rate, and an excellent location for visiting Assisi as well as for getting around.

Happy stay at a great location

The hotel's location is good - near the bus stop, taxi stand, close to the St. Francis Basilica, and downhill from the center of town. The rooms are cozy and well maintained, and are cleaned every day. The family running the place maintain a friendly atmosphere and are as helpful as possible. Most of them do not speak much English, but we were able to get by using Google Translate and some broken Italian. There are lots of eating places and places to visit close by. There is a lift/elevator in the building. The pricing is also very reasonable for the location.
