Boutique Stay in Bellagio

We stayed at Hotel Florence for two nights in late June, and it was an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. The receptionist at the front desk was exceptionally helpful, providing information about ferry and train options, assisting with dinner reservations, and always greeting us with a warm smile. We stayed in Room #53, which featured a small private balcony overlooking the lake. It was definitely worth reserving! While the décor leaned toward traditional Italian antiques rather than modern design, the room was spacious, comfortable, and had excellent air conditioning—a real blessing during the heat wave we experienced. The included breakfast was delicious, with a wonderful selection of fresh offerings and prosecco each morning. One of our favorite parts of the hotel was Terrazza Florence, the beautiful lakeside restaurant located just across the street. We hadn't made dinner reservations, but were fortunate enough to get a lakeside table when another party didn't show up for their reservation. It turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. The setting, overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains, was spectacular, the food and wine were outstanding, and the service was impeccable. We would highly recommend both Hotel Florence and Terrazza Florence!

It is not a 4-star hotel.

When I arrived at the room, I found the sink damaged, it was leaking water onto the floor. I notified the front desk and they replied that they already knew about it. They did not change my room and I had the problem throughout my stay with a water issue on the bathroom floor. I had to put a trash can to collect the water. One night I got up to go to the bathroom and stepped on a cockroach. It does not seem to be a 4-star hotel. Expensive just for the location.

Ok stay …not amazing, could have been better !

We had to change our holiday plans last minute so we ended up with an extra night in Bellagio … the first hotel we stayed at was wonderful!
We arrived early at Hotel Florence and just wanted to drop our bags off , the lady who greeted us wasn’t very welcoming and whilst I was still explaining we wanted to drop our bags she made sure I was aware of the check in time - the younger gentleman she was with was friendly though.
We returned later and another lady checked us in was friendly. The room had a lovely balcony and nice bathroom , however there was no bottle of water , mini bar or tea & coffee making facilities (our previous hotel had this) . There was a note provided , explaining the furnishings etc and should anything be broken it must be paid for , it just didn’t feel very welcoming at all.
The lady who works hard in the breakfast room was lovely but breakfast itself is average , also only Nutella can be called Nutella - the one that’s there is an inferior option !
A few tweaks and I’m sure it will be perfect but I wouldn’t stay again . I always find it odd when you check out and the staff don’t ask you if you have had a nice time!

Very Welcoming and Friendly Staff

Giselle at the front desk was very welcoming and sweet. She made us feel welcome. She speaks English fluently and helped us navigate our stay around Bellagio. The hotel was stunning, we had a lakefront view.

Special stay in Bellagio

We had a truly unforgettable stay at Hotel Florence.
The staff are really friendly and the rooms are cosy. There’s plenty of choice at breakfast and the decor throughout the hotel is nice.
We found that because the hotel was so close to the pier, going to the ticket office early to get all day ferry tickets saved a lot of time at both Bellagio, and other stops around the lake.
We will be back soon.
