I booked a single room as I am traveling solo. By American standards, the room was compact with a single twin bed, but this is what I booked, no surprise. The bathroom and shower were fine, as was the wifi and minisplit air conditioning. Staff is friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast buffet was good. I would stay here again if I ever make it back to Bologna .

I was very disappointed with my stay. The room looked much larger in the photos, but in reality it was extremely small. The bed was also far too short for me. I am 183 cm tall, and I couldn’t sleep comfortably. The mattress was narrow, and the pillow was one of the most uncomfortable I have ever used.
The air conditioner is installed directly above the bed, blowing cold air straight onto your face while you sleep. When I mentioned this to the staff, I was told it wouldn’t be a problem, but unfortunately it made my stay very uncomfortable, and I even became sick.
Another major issue is the location of the hotel. It is situated on a very busy street, making it impossible to sleep with the windows open because of the constant traffic and car horns. Since I couldn’t keep the windows open and had to rely on the air conditioning, the experience became even worse.
For a stay that cost nearly €200, I expected a much higher level of comfort. This was honestly one of the least comfortable hotel experiences I have ever had. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Thin walls, you can hear people talking and toilet was flashing but water keep running. You have to push the button to unlock.

Pleasant stay in Bologna

Hotel in a convenient location both for distance from the station and to reach the center and various points of attraction. Friendly and helpful staff, great restaurant service.

Its strength is the location.

Weekend in Bologna we choose the "Donatello" for its strategic location in the center and the proximity of a covered parking a few dozen meters. Room as expected, shame about the minibar not working... overall positive review.
