Lovely

After reading all the duff reviews we were in trepidation of our booking, made many weeks previously. We were so pleasantly surprised. Arriving at 3pm to a warm Italian welcome the hotel is very modern with quirky decor. Beautiful views across to the river Trento with the fantastic Italian Alps (?) as a magnificent backdrop. Pleasant 15min walk into the town centre which is also fabulous. The only drawback was the parking, but we were persistent and eventually lucky in procuring a space right outside the hotel with a sticker from reception for the windscreen. No breakfast so probably overpriced at €154 for one double room for 1 night, but definitely nothing to moan about.

Recommended for a visit to the city.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Ariston in Bolzano.
The Hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the historic center.
Parking is provided in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel in a public area.
We were two people plus a dog accepted already at the booking stage with a slight surcharge.
We were greeted by an extremely kind person.
We found the rooms clean, heated and comfortable.
Wifi password given at check-in.
The price for one night in Bolzano was correct.
There is no lift but this was not an impediment for us.

Horrible hotel which is not as advertised. Room smelled like cigarettes, no elevator no restaurants, limited parking. area around the hotel is very sketchy. Felt like a pay-by-the-hour hotel, left after 10 minutes. Felt very unsafe with my family and left and they wouldn't refund me despite it being only 10 mins between checking in and deciding not to stay there.
