The Hotel Orientale in Brindisi is a very good place to stay, The rooms are clean, the property is well maintained. The hotel is very well located - just a couple of blocks from the scenic seafront promenade that is perfect for dinning, having coffee or a gelato and watching the sunset. The hotel has a nice breakfast buffet. The hotel staff was also very attentive. Furthermore, the hotel has parking - which was a must for us as we had a car. There is Taxi stand right in front of the hotel that you can use only to unload your luggage and check in. At that time, you will give your car key to the assistant who will park the car for you. There are many stores around the hotel and places to have coffee, gelato, and snacks. Additionally, there are plenty of things to see and do in Brindisi which can take you a full day. The main sites worth visiting include: the Duomo (Cathedral of Brindisi); the Church (Chiesa) of San Giovanni; The Chiesa of San Benedetto; the Ribezzo Archeological Museum; the Palazoo Granasfei Nervagna; and the Monument to Italian Sailors (which you must take the ferry over to the other side of Brindisi less than 2 Euros per ride). All sites in Brindisi are walking distance from the hotel - but you must like to walk if you want to see the Swavian Castle from the outside- which is closed to the public as it is now a Navy base. Furthermore, if you want to visit the Castello Alfonsino - it might not be possible as it requires calling and making a reservation.

Great location, very old hotel, very old/basic rooms (feels like the 70s/80s). Rooms are very very basic, and amenities and styling very old. Our check in was not ready at 2pm (the cleaning staff hadn’t even gotten to it) which is strange but other than that it’s decent enough for a night or two.

I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Great location, super clean and professional staff. Good breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is very central in perfect location even for parking on the street. THe personnel are very service minded compared to other Italian hotels, both in reception and in the breakfast room that had plenty of kind staff keeping it filled and clean. The breakfast is really something! It has hot and cold healthy food as well as fresh delicious fruit, the best I had in my travel in Italy. I moved from a single room based behind the escalator as it was noisy in the night, also was waked by cleaners trowing glass out just outside the window in the stairs, just a small mistake. The new room was perfect and service excellent.
