It's a really Lovely hotel, just not for someone with limited mobility
We were given a room on the 1st floor of the main building, truly stunning old school Italian furnishings with a double aspect window on the corner with spectacular views.
But it was 2 flights up to the bedroom, 3 flights down to the restaurant terrace and and other couple of flights down to the pool area. No lifts.
I went to see the owner Martin, a truly excellent host who was very understanding re our predicament and we came to a suitable arrangement.
We stayed the night, ate the restaurant - the food was superb, the wine delicious, the views spectacular.
We took the APE tour - not cheap for 30 to 45 minutes, but what fun and great way to see Buggiano Castillo (we couldn't have managed it on foot). Martin was a great driver and guide.
Other than the mobility issue we have no complaints, although we did notice the pool area was very small for a hotel with 32 rooms, but I guess it depends why you are visiting Buggiano - for a chill out vs a base for touring.
We wished we could have stayed longer ... oh well.

Relaxation and comfort in a beautiful Tuscan setting
The first evening we had dinner in the Villa, enjoying a good pizza at sunset: pleasant atmosphere and suggestive view.
The swimming pool is certainly one of the strong points of the structure: well-kept, quiet, with sun loungers always in the shade and comfortable pillows ideal for relaxing.
Discreet breakfast: good, but without any particular distinctive notes.
Overall a very pleasant stay, immersed in the quiet of the Tuscan countryside.
