The castle is very beautiful even if in a rather perched position.
I ate very well during an evening organized with a fixed menu.
Needless to say, fabulous wines.

Perfect wedding
Intimacy, spacious location, everything attended to in the smallest details, exceptional food, and kindness of the staff. What else can I say? Go visit this magnificent castle!

I have traveled much of the world, and this is the loveliest hotel in which I have ever stayed. Gorgeous restored castle, beautiful grounds, lovely evening, meals on the lawn, and wonderful attentive staff. I cannot wait to come back! All of their rooms appear to be lovely, you cannot go wrong.

This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The property is pristine, located within a gorgeous 17th century baronial palace. The scenery is picture perfect and the staff are very polite with a good communication skills in English. The location can make the place a little difficult to find, but well worth it. The food and drinks are delicious. For lower price options, there are a couple of bars and restaurants in the area. I would definitely recommend.

Tasting in the cellar: promise not kept
The location is really beautiful: the castle is very well kept, the common rooms are wonderful and also the outdoor gardens, the vineyard and the courtyards are very well kept and beautiful.
The rooms are spacious and clean, with a pleasant mix of ancient and modern. All very nice and pleasant.
But ... there is a “but” that, despite myself, I think it is right to point out, especially for the next customers who may find themselves in the same situation as me.
When booking I had requested the tasting lunch in the cellar, as it was a gift for my partner, specifying and clearly expressing the desire to carry it out in their beautiful cellar. They initially confirmed the request immediately. Later they contacted me saying that it was not possible because a ceremony was scheduled that day. At that point I had communicated that I would also cancel the overnight stay, since it was closely linked to the possibility of lunch in the cellar.
After a while they called me back saying that the ceremony was actually scheduled the day before and that therefore everything was confirmed regularly, lunch in the cellar included, as per my request. I was so happy.
Unfortunately, however, at check-out the next morning — considering that we were going to have lunch shortly after — the receptionist informs me that the cellar as a location was not available, giving genuinely unbelievable reasons, such as the fact that it was too cold. Too bad, however, that the day before there had been a regular lunch in the cellar and that in the meantime there had been no significant change in temperature. I was also told that the use of the cellar was actually “at their discretion”.
Honestly I was very disappointed, also because, otherwise, I would not have booked even the overnight stay and I would have chosen another structure. The thing that struck me even more is that the exact same situation had already happened a few years ago: even then I had canceled lunch in the cellar at the last minute, always at check-out.
I do not find this behaviour absolutely correct. Instead, I believe it is necessary to make it clear from the beginning to customers that the use of the cellar for tastings is not really guaranteed, but depends exclusively on their discretion. Information that, in my case, was communicated only at the end, after the overnight stay.
They kept telling me it was too cold, but we had already talked about this on the phone a month earlier, during the booking, and I had clearly specified that it would not be a problem for us.
After several minutes of discussion and various categorical refusals on their part, I said — with tears in my eyes — that I would leave without lunch and that I would cancel the tasting, since it would not take place in the cellar as requested and expressly booked. I also explained that they had practically ruined my partner's birthday and our Sunday.
Only then did the girl call the manager and, in the end, even quite annoyed, I was granted “permission” to have lunch in the so exclusive and seemingly unreachable cellar.
So it was possible to do that? Why create all this discomfort and unpleasant situation for the customer?
At that point, however, I did not feel like accepting and I left, because by then a really unpleasant atmosphere had been created, for the second time moreover.
This report is therefore addressed to all future customers or couples who wish to do the tasting in the cellar: know that, even if it will be confirmed by phone or email, in reality the final decision remains exclusively at their discretion and very often the location is changed at the last minute, making you have lunch or dinner in the room.
So I'm very disappointed and I don't think to come back and it's a shame, it would take some more attention and kindness towards the customer to make this place perfect.
