Nice location / old-fashioned hotel

We spent a holiday with friends at this hotel. I state that the location of the hotel, overlooking the sea, is spectacular. As for the hotel itself, alas it should be closed at the end of the season, undergoing a major renovation and reopening next year. It is a hotel of the 70s, which no longer corresponds to current hotel standards, both in terms of security (stairs without handrail, no elevator, much less for people with reduced mobility), the furnishings of the rooms and all the common parts, is completely to be replaced. The only positive point is the outdoor pool and the Mediterranean environment of the spaces that surround it. The gardens are poorly maintained and the staff unfortunately inexperienced. Unfortunately I would not recommend the property.

In the blue painted blue

Characteristic hotel overlooking the sea, beautiful view personal very kind and courteous. Great food. The rooms are simple and clean. Relax, peace you can read a book amid the sound of the waves. Nearby there is a blue cave accessible by swimming. I'll be back

What a bluff

A disaster. The fact that it is a place with great potential we all understood and perhaps it is rhetorical to reiterate it since the coast of Salento is all beautiful and every structure has in fact great possibilities. The hotel piccolo mondo has 4 stars but deserves 2 (to be generous). The property is in very poor condition, everything is broken and badly cared for. From the umbrella by the pool all ramshackle, to the green, and in general all the furnishings. The white sofas in the lobby are very dirty, the windows in the lobby very dirty. Steps (of infinite stairs) broken. Let's move on to the room: we had a standard (264€ per night) filthy, incredible smell of moisture, bed from the broken structure that with every movement hinted to disassemble. Sheets of very poor quality and dirty, bed hard like that of a convent cell, knob of the closet that remains in your hand as soon as you try to open the door. Czech bathroom, tiny, bidet attached to the shower so unusable, embarrassing Courtesy Service, I would say non-existent, bedroom window that can be darkened with a plywood panel attached to the same rather good (DIY job worthy of a pension in Venezuela). There is no coffee machine in the room and much less courtesy water. Ridiculous minibar, all for a fee with high prices and embarrassing offer. Breakfast ok, guys waiting tables smiling and way. Reception staff, honestly I think they could do less Hollywood stars and propose to the customer with less knowledge. Small note on the booking, I book from their website with the option pay at the property, I leave as guarantee Amex card. The reservation passes without problems, I am notified 4 days before putting a visa or Mastercard as a guarantee, without asking for clarification, I immediately proceed with another card and almost immediately I am charged the full cost of the room. I will not discuss the matter and move on, but it must be said that this trick is clear to everyone. They pick you up early so when you get there you can't run away.

Lovely location mediocre structure if not poor for the quality / price ratio.

I travel often, especially for work. I stayed here for 5 nights. In June 300 euros per night room and breakfast. Exaggerated price for quality of breakfast (poor for quality and variety of offer) and quality of rooms. Incredibly beautiful location, not as much the structure inside. Spartan rooms, little more than air-conditioned bungalows. The “suite” is nothing but a double bedroom with adjoining bedroom without air conditioning. Old and chipped doors and furnishings. Little maintained garden. The bedroom bed is a cot with mattresses without headboard and attached to the walls. There is no closet and no place to store your bags after unpacking (in the bedroom). Access to the sea impossible. Pool not very clean. Friendly staff but little attention to maintaining decent quality. Not to be returned and not to be recommended to friends.
