Good for what it’s worth
The host is very kind and available, which makes everything very confortable.
It's easy of access, and the host offers to help you take your luggage upstairs (' cause there's no elevator)
The location is ideal.
The view from the cute balcony is typical of Catania: Sicilian roof everywhere and the beautiful Etna with the Duomo when you look on the right.
The accommodation is good, it's clean and there's everything needed. However, when you look longer there some damaged which make you see it's a bit old... bootle of handsoap is dying because of humidity, there some piece of the shower that fall apart, the sink is not properly fixed. It doesn't make it a bad experience, it diminishes it. (Also, even if it's clean, it's not ideal to have stains on the cousins.)!

Fine for a quick overnight stay
Easy check in as all electronic and sent codes etc by WhatsApp.
No allocated parking, it’s just on the road.
Area is very dirty with rubbish everywhere, which made it quite unappealing. Short walk to centre for shops and restaurants though.
Rooms are on the 4th floor and no lift so you have to walk up over 80 stairs.
Room itself was quite basic and small but was fine for a quick overnight stay in Catania.
Bed was comfortable.
Bathroom very small and basically flooded when you brush your teeth as the sink is so tiny.
Jacuzzi bath in room but we didn’t use it. Switched the tap on and realised it would probably take about a week to fill up, so couldn’t be bothered.
Was surprised to see behind the curtain next to it was like a utility area.
General wear and tear in the room, could do with a little attention.
View of Etna from the balcony if you stand up and look to the right, otherwise just views of the unappealing neighbourhood.
Very confusing situation with what was included and what was chargeable in the fridge. Sign on top listed all the items in the fridge and their price, then said everything else was free but there was no ‘everything else’, just some milk.
Breakfast was just cakes and croissants, not very varied or many options.
Overall, not great. Glad we were only there for a night on our travels around Sicily.

The apartment was really nice, and well decorated. Only problem is it’s on the 4th floor with no lift, but we were made aware of this before arrival. Balcony has great views, and is close to the castle and centre. Only slight downside is we stayed for 7 nights, and the room is a little bit small for that length of time. Perfect for a few nights, but a little small for a week. Otherwise a great stay, host was very helpful and always got back to us in a timely manner. Would recommend to anyone who is in Catania for a few nights.

True, the B&B may be in an area that some people may call “rough”, but it isn’t that at all. Accommodation is on the 4th floor (top floor) and in the heat it’s a bit of a killer. All doors are pass code protected and are strong! I stayed in room #1, as soon as you enter. Nice sized room, although the bathroom may be a little “tight” for some people. The view from the balcony, WOW! Exactly as it is shown on the website. Sat here every evening and enjoyed some wine as the sun set! There is a kitchen in the apartment, that I think you can use, not sure. Seemed to be muffins left out for people to eat. Breakfast is simple, but very tasty, particularly the chilli and olive cheese! Loved it! Inside the room was a coffee maker and a small fridge, enough to keep your beers cold! WiFi was incredibly fast. Maybe a 10-15 min walk into the center of town, but there are a few restaurants and bars at either end of the road the B&B is located on. Good communication from Gieseppe, the owner! Would highly recommend you stay here, you won’t be disappointed

Lovely views from balcony. Was anticipating the room to be small, so it wasn’t a surprise, very reasonable price for a overnight stay in catania
