Nice place to visit the City Center

Gianluca is very kind and always ready to help with luggages and informations about the City. The Rooms are at the Third Floor in an amazing Building, Old but Magnificent. The room was clean and you can find Everything you need for a short Stay and also a Nice and cozy kitchen. The location and the Price are just perfect to enjoy Catania.

Disappointing

We stayed for two nights at this B&B. Nothing to say about the location, a stone's throw from Via Etnea and the metro, 10 minutes on foot from the cathedral, truly excellent. As for the room, I was very disappointed; it was truly tiny, poor cleanliness (there was dust on a wall unit in front of the bed), not to mention the balcony that overlooked the internal courtyard, with bamboo blinds that barely allowed one to stand, but the worst thing was the cobwebs and dust, both on the floor and on the small table.
In the room, there is an air conditioner that, with the July heat, does not do much. The bathroom, on the other hand, is very old, seals full of mold and a shower 50cm higher than the floor, with a step to enter it that is very slippery, therefore with the risk of breaking a leg.
In the room, you will not find a minibar or anything else, but there is a shared kitchen with a coffee machine (without pods/capsules though) and with a fridge (in which you can put things purchased by you, but you will find it empty).
In conclusion, the only positive thing is the location along with the bed, which was quite comfortable.

Does not match

It does not correspond to the rooms in the photo, (did I say it before?) no view of the balcony, as I read in some reviews, because it was not the same structure, but view from an uncomfortable window overlooking the roofs, small room, lacking in comfort, uncomfortable bed , musty smell and stuffy.
Never again.

This place scares you!!

At first you see a big door with drawing all over it. You enter to a common area, black, dirty and scary. Lots of stairs (with luggages) and no elevator!! He showed us the room, completely different from what we saw in pictures. A TV older than my grandma I bet it didn't work, sheets I really didn't want to use and then the bathroom, small with a large step to get in the shower. Definitely not like the pictures. Obviously we didn't stay there, we paid him, made an excuse and left. €287.00 for nothing, thankfully we went to another hostel (Ferrini home) and we were highly satisfied with the same price.

Good Location

Location is perfect. Room was big enough for 4 people. Facilities are simple but good. Good hostel if one is not going to be in the hotel for a long time. Wifi was good. On the other hand, during our 1st night we didn't have any water in the bathroom. In the morning, I tried to call Gianluca but mobile was off. Therefore I had to send an email to him. Problem was fixed on same day. However it would have been nice, if in the morning, we saw someone in the reception. In fact during our stay, we only saw Gianluca or anyone from the "management" during our check in and during our "check out". During the latter, we had to speak to the maid to see where we could leave the luggages till it was to time to leave since Gianluca was not there. However he was there when we picked our luggages and apologised for not being there in the morning.
