Sightseeing hotel
Nice family hotel. This ancient elevator alone must have been seen. This hotel is spread over part of the 1st and 2nd floor. Stockes between apartments in a very old house. Everything clean, great and very central location. A bus to the airport stops nearby. The rooms themselves are unfortunately very noisy.
The staff very polite, nice and helpful. Breakfast typical Italian can also be taken on the terrace

Hotel is up a level but there is a lift, however beware there is 5 or so steps to reach the lift if you have any mobility issues. Great breakfast (self service) with wide variety of sweet and savoury choices. The breakfast room staff are friendly, chatty and keep things clean and topped up. I was in a solo room, which was small but absolutely fine with a good shower/toilet en suite. A wee bit of noise as my room backed on to a courtyard occupied by other buildings, no problem though as I got a good sleep. Front of house staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Not recommended!!!!!!!
I stayed at this hotel for one night and I must say it was a huge mistake. The room was dirty and smelly, the service was non-existent and the staff seemed completely uninterested in our needs. , the breakfast was a limited and unappetizing offer.
But the worst part is that I had booked for two nights and was forced to leave after only one night due to the unacceptable conditions of the hotel. I then made a complaint asking for a refund for the unused night, but despite sending an email and personally delivering the complaint, I did not receive any response. And on top of that, they don't even answer their phones!
The way this hotel treats its customers is unacceptable. The location might be the only good thing, but it's not enough to justify the bad prices and service.
Not recommended and be careful not to get fooled with reservations!

Giulia Buongiorno, spero tu possa leggere la nostra risposta e cancellare questa recensione, perché sicuramente l'hotel a cui ti riferisci non é il nostro; non abbiamo ricevuto nessun reclamo e nessuna richiesta di rimborso da parte di nessuno, guarda le nostre foto anche sul nostro sito internet , noi ci troviamo in Via Etnea, 229.... probabilmente la tua recensione doveva riferirsi ad un Hotel che purtroppo ha un nome molto simile al nostro e spesso viene confuso cercando su internet; Ti chiediamo di verificare il nome esatto del posto dove hai dormito;

Perfect Location, Warm Staff, and Comfortable Rooms!
Location: Ideal for exploring Catania! Right next to the Chiosco della Musica, 5 minutes’ walk from Piazza Stesicoro and about 10 minutes from Piazza del Duomo. Surrounded by great restaurants and attractions. It’s also just a 20-minute walk from Catania Centrale train station if you prefer walking instead of taking a bus or taxi.
Staff: The receptionists were exceptional — kind, friendly, and always ready to help with tips on what to see and where to eat. Their hospitality made my stay feel very welcoming.
Room: Spacious, clean, and well-equipped with more amenities than I needed. Even the bathroom was roomy, which was a big plus. My room opened onto the common balcony, yet it was quiet and peaceful — I slept like a baby every night.
What could be improved:
The elevator is the traditional old-style kind, with an extra inner door. It can be a bit unusual at first, especially with luggage, but it’s totally manageable. Since I was on the second floor, I mostly enjoyed using the stairs and only needed the elevator for my bags.
