Fabulous location-walk out the door and 2 minutes later you’re at the main square. Tours pick up in the piazza outside the main door. Even being close to everything the apartment is quiet. Views from roof top are lovely. Peppa, who is there everyday, is super helpful and friendly. Breakfast is a variety of options. The room is large and air conditioned. Only small negative-the mattress is a bit lumpy. It probably needs to be flipped.

Always great

For years now, when I return to Catania I stay at the San Placido Inn and it never disappoints me. Nice rooms, great location and beautiful terrace with views. I can not think of staying elsewhere, in Catania. Accurate Welcoming of the legendary Pepa, always attentive to our needs.

the stay was on the occasion of Sant 'Agata, b & b perfect because a few steps from the cathedral and all the activities of the city center.

Our rooms were just as pictured online. Everything was spotlessly clean, the breakfast area and terrace were delightful, with a clear view of nearby landmarks, including cathedral dome, and a straight-on view of Mt. Etna.
Breakfast was more than expected, with egg, toast, local meats & cheese, yogurt, and warm, flaky chocolate croissants. Wi-fi connection was clear and consistent.
Best of all was our friendly and helpful hostess, Pepa. She offered great suggestions for dining, shopping, and touring. She also arranged for a private driver and our ride back to the airport.
We highly recommend the San Placido Inn!
