Lovely surroundings

Apartments are located in beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views. Close to a small grocery store and to a small village but having a car is crucial to enjoy surroundings.
Staff were helpful, we did have breakfast once but it was quite basic. The apartment was fully serviced and housekeeping services provided upon request. I wouldn’t mind spending another week at this lively place.

Sensational view, but disappointing service and total inflexibility

The location of "Il Poggio" is simply sensational and offers a wonderful view. The apartment (we had two rooms for three people) was also okay. However, for a cost of €320.00 per night, we expected a significantly higher level of hospitality. Unfortunately, the staff is very rude and lacks any flexibility.
The main issues were encountered with the dining (the cost of which, we want to emphasize, is not included in the overnight price):
Dinner and inflexibility: The menu is fixed and absolutely non-modifiable, which is a major disadvantage since there are no alternatives for dining in the vicinity. In the evening at dinner, it was even a problem to order simple potatoes as a side for a child's steak. The menu only included potatoes with fennel; only after a long and fruitless discussion did they agree to bring French fries for a 12-year-old boy.
Bar and table service: At the bar, the waiter could not find a bottle opener for a beer. As if that were not enough, at the table the prosecco was poured directly into the beer glasses that were already on the table.
We knew that dinner was an extra, but we were deeply disappointed by the complete lack of courtesy and flexibility towards the guests. We will definitely not return.

Panorama and tranquility

Il Poggio enjoys a splendid location, with panoramic views of the hills and lots of peace.
The food is great and the friendly Welcoming helps make the experience really enjoyable.

RCI timeshare exchange in south part of Tuscany

We had a 1 bedroom with small kitchen. While having the extra room was nice the kitchen is not very well equipped so was hard to make full use of.
The bed was very uncomfortable. So much so that we decided to check out 3 days early.
We ate at the restaurant the first evening and it was ok, nothing special. Breakfast the next morning was pitiful, a few croissants and some yogurt. Not worth the 10 Euros pps that they charged.
Not a place we would return to.
We visited the nearby town of Radicofani and the Fortezza there. Well worth the drive up. Also had lunch at the restaurant in the Fortezza which was very good.
We travelled to Assisi and Orvieto for day trips, interesting drive on the windy Tuscan roads
We had dinner at La Bottega del Chiu and at Restaurant La Pace both had great food and nice atmosphere.

Wonderful holiday

I was recently at Poggio and, in addition to the optimal location to visit beautiful places and rich in history, I was pleasantly impressed by the kindness of the staff and the cleanliness of the structure .Sicuramente recommended!
