Terrifying experience.
I found the behavior of the manager and a receptionist to be extremely rude, arrogant, and unprofessional.
Such that I feel ashamed for them.
In addition to the numerous problems encountered, there was a complete lack of attention towards the customer and a constant tendency to question what was reported, rather than listening to the customer and managing the service disruptions with courtesy and competence.
The breakfast room set up during the stay was simply unacceptable and entirely inadequate to the standards declared by the establishment, being underground and completely lacking windows.
A very disappointing experience both in terms of service and hospitality. I strongly advise against this establishment.

A stay between history and beauty, but with some reservations ..
After a long restoration that lasted years, the structure has been transformed into a charming 4-star hotel, keeping intact the frescoes, the original stucco and the imposing Baroque architecture.
The atmosphere is really fascinating: frescoed halls 7 meters high, an ancient theater of 1700 now used as a restaurant, a very beautiful cloister, an English garden with swimming pool make your stay visually memorable.
However, my expectations remained half-fulfilled.
Despite the beauty and charm of the location, I found the rooms very clean and tidy, rather small compared to the standard expected for a hotel of this category.
Just the breakfast, although set up in this beautiful historic theater, was one of the sore notes of the stay.
The environment, although scenic, was dispersed , and did not contribute to a relaxed atmosphere.
But the real flaw was the quality of the products offered: almost all industrial products, without any proposal prepared directly in the hotel.
A detail that goes against the level and prestige of the structure.
In summary, Hotel Somaschi is a location of great charm, ideal for those seeking an experience immersed in history. But for those who also want high-level comfort and services, the experience can be half-satisfying.

A little disappointed!
We had dinner on the terrace, very little cared for, pots of dried flowers, tables and chairs not used crowded in the corner of the terrace, tablecloth not ironed, food not excellent.
Let me suggest a special eye.
