Fair Hotel quiet location

The hotel faces one of the canals in a quiet area and close to the old part of town. My room was quite nice It has a small fridge but to tea/coffee making. The bed,very comfortable,furniture all good too. A bit unusual though, the toilet was within the shower recess, Good value for money.

Spartan, maybe too.

Perhaps the cheapest hotel in Chioggia, I did not have very high expectations but rarely have I slept in such an uncomfortable bed with such a stiff and low pillow.
The hotel is located in a condominium located in excellent central area.
It has no parking but the owner helps you find parking nearby.
The room is small, shower above the toilet, bare furniture.
The owner is very nice, however all the messages of prohibition and attention (including the incelophanate remote control make you uncomfortable.
While I understand the rudeness of customers, so it is too much.

I wouldn't go back.
There are handwritten cards on the doors (I RESPECT! NO....NO FOOD, NO SMOKE, NO DIRT... AND MORE) that are not a great first impression
Also in the room there are other handwritten (At the window DO NOT OPEN THE MOSQUITO NET IF TOO MANY HAVE ALREADY BROKEN)
Then you turn around and find another one. DON'T PUT YOUR SUITCASES ON THE BED.
Then at the door again...
You could put rules but maybe expose them a little more professionally and all at once and not give the impression that you are not welcome.
The bedspread was all stained and the bathroom is really too embarrassing.
And I personally had never happened elsewhere to be woken up by the cleaning lady for the too much noise she made in cleaning the other rooms. If you demand respect then it must also be given.

Absurd prohibition signs never found anywhere else posted on the walls. You do not smoke / do not eat / do not bring sand into the rooms... If the Owner has been burned by rude travelers do not have to pay all the consequences especially at that price. Bathroom really on the edge of decency. Toilet paper wet from the leaking radiator water. Owner friendly and helpful but not enough.

Value....but

My wife and I stayed here for two nights prior to her return flight home. The two nights we stay there there was a lot of fog due to the cool air and warm water in the Venice lagoon. Be advised that the hotel is on the second floor of a three-story building. As well, the description says there is a fridge in the room, BUT there is signage in the room indicating no food is allowed in the fridge. We had understood that there might even be a hot plate. The hotel is very hard to find if you were driving as it's on the backside of the main square not far from the Church. Parking is not available on site but we did have a parking permit for the church parking lot which was not very far away. Even after being there a couple of days it was very hard to find the route to the front of the hotel by car to load our luggage as there are many one-way streets, narrow alleys, bridges and canals to complicate matters. All in all good value for the money.
