Pleasantly surprised.

I stayed at this hotel with relatively low expectations, which were absolutely exceeded. The location is excellent, as is the breakfast. The rooms are a bit old but they don't have everything. The curtain in the room I was staying in wouldn't open, but otherwise there is nothing negative to add.

Good but it can be improved

We stayed for one night.
The welcome is unfortunately the aspect that convinced us the least. Even during the phone booking, the communication was rather rushed: only after hanging up did I receive the email with the request to pay 50% of the stay as a deposit, information I would have appreciated receiving during the call.
Even during our stay, the reception staff seemed unfriendly and inattentive to the customer. At check-out, my mom forgot her swimsuit on the heated towel rail. We immediately notified the reception, which assured us they would inform the cleaning staff and that we could come by to pick it up that same evening. Upon our return, however, no one knew anything about what happened, the swimsuit had disappeared, and we didn't even receive an apology for the mix-up. An episode that left us rather disappointed and confirmed the impression of a poorly managed service.
New and clean room, but small and without hooks or hangers. The pool is quite large, but it is located in a facility separate from the hotel, on the other side of a four-lane road, and is only accessible from check-in time (2:00 PM). Convenient but expensive parking (€15 per day) and only accessible from 10:30 AM on guest changeover days.
Otherwise, the hotel is very good: renovated and well-maintained facility, excellent cleanliness, abundant breakfast with many homemade products, and an excellent location, convenient for both Sottomarina and Chioggia. With more attention to hospitality, communication, and a few organizational details, it could truly become an excellent hotel.

They ask for payment of half the stay even if it is 24 hours before arrival

Decent hotel with some shortcomings.

The positives : Well proportioned room with modern bathroom, large bed that was comfortable, air conditioning that was easy to control and a large balcony. Breakfast choices were good. Location to beach clubs excellent and the Old Town is 1.3 km in distance.
The negatives: Poorly trained staff. Small breakfast room that was crowded by 8am. No hooks in bathroom and poor bathroom lighting. Off premises pool meant crossing the main 4 lane road to access it. Pool hours (1000-1800) restrictive. Swimming caps required. Off premises car park next to pool extremely narrow entrance and requiring a remote device that meant return trip to hotel after accessing car park.
