Small and friendly hotel within walking distance of Sorrento

Small friendly hotel about a 20 minute walk into Sorrento. Nice gardens and pool area. The room had a small balcony with a sea view in the distance. We stayed half board and were happy with the food choices. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly. Would recommend

There is room for improvement

I stayed three days in this hotel; regarding the rooms, the decor is vintage but functional. The room has yellowed carpeting from time, like in the hallways, which collects all the dirt and dust. The bathroom is clean and the shower box is comfortable. The breakfast has limited choices; the owner bought fresh pastries from the baker, then there was a store-bought pie and jams, cookies, and toast. In other three-star hotels, I found enchanting buffets. An unpleasant incident occurred yesterday; we were sleeping in the room when it was 2:50 PM, and we heard the door open. We were startled; it was a couple who had been assigned our room. I reported to the reception that what happened was very serious. The hotel also does not have a dining service.

An experience to be repeated

Together with my wife we stayed for 11 days at the Hotel Girasole and our experience allowed us to judge the structure in a great way.
The staff was always available and friendly to our every request and / or need.
The only small flaw (if you can talk about a flaw) is that to go to the beach you have to do about 300 meters on foot to overcome through an underpass the railway. This, especially in the hottest hours can weigh. With the car it is impossible because it is very difficult to find a on the coastal route.
One thing we consider important is that the hotel has an agreement with a restaurant located inside the hotel building and you can request both half board and full board. However, unlike all other hotels, the meal will only be charged if you use it.

Super lovely property, staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast In the lobby was good. We had a nice large balcony. Super easy walk to the beach and some good restaurants. Lots of places closed on Sunday evenings but a 20 minute walk we found some places.
Housekeeping was kind and did a great job, they brought us a clothes dryer when they saw us drying clothes in the bathroom.
Free parking onsite.
Only complaint is the double bed was two singles pushed together, comfortable as long as you didn’t get stuck in the crack in the middle.
