Lovely place

This hotel is in a lovely location, it is immersed in a quiet and relaxing oasis where you can take walks to spot the local fauna. The rooms are old-fashioned but rather clean, the breakfast is plentiful and great - sweet and savory, special mention for the cakes that were all delicious - the staff is friendly and as a location is very convenient because a few minutes from the beach by car. They also offer the possibility to rent bicycles throughout the day at honest prices. The restaurant we were not able to try it but we hope to return the future, overall it is a highly recommended place for those who want a relaxing holiday in a delightful place!

Good potential, to be enhanced

We spent a weekend at this hotel. The place is very beautiful, completely immersed in the nature of the Po Delta. The property is certainly dated but overall suitable for the rural environment. It would certainly need a restyling, especially regarding the rooms. Ours was very spacious and with a huge bathroom but unfortunately not very functional in the arrangement of the furniture. I highly recommend putting a cabin in the shower and changing the air conditioner (the noise at night is unbearable). The cleaning could also be improved. Excellent breakfast served outdoors, the staff quite courteous. Overall it is a property with good potential; if some improvements were made and if perhaps it were equipped with a pool, it would certainly be quite interesting.

Customer care to review

I’ve been wanting to go there for a while, because I had been told well about it, so I’m very sorry to give it a low grade.
The hotel is located along the road, but in a lovely location, opposite a naturalistic oasis that in a few steps takes you inland to the delta, highly recommended to birdwatchers, and in a few kilometers to the beaches of Volano.
It is an old adapted fishing station where several rooms have been converted. The structure is quite old, and would need several maintenance works (primarily bathrooms, soundproofing and mattress change), but it still has its "rural" charm and prices are cheap. I'll just pass it by. I find it a little harder to get over the rough cleaning of the room and bathroom, but for one night I can override that too.
But what I am absolutely not willing to accept is the rudeness of many of the staff of the structure, from the lady who runs the reception and breakfasts (of a rare rudeness) to the two girls who serve at the bar in the evening. Hearing the first one say aloud to her colleague during breakfast "this morning serves double ration" (as if to say that guests are eating too much) I found it frankly embarrassing. The breakfast, undoubtedly excellent, varied and plentiful, incidentally we still paid (10 € each).
The behavior of the bar attendants (one young, the other older) instead bothered us so much that we ruined the evening: the hotel restaurant, where we had booked, opens at 8 pm so at 7.20 pm we decide to go for a glass of wine at the bar at the “fisherman’s house”. The annoyed girl replies that they no longer serve customers, despite a sign displayed in plain sight outside stating “closing at 8 pm” (see photo). We still sit in the tables outside to wait for the restaurant to open and admire the beautiful sunset. Since there are other patrons sitting quietly drinking their aperitif my wife tries again asking if we can have 2 glasses of wine on the fly without anything else. Nothing to do, for logistical reasons not specified the thing seems absolutely impossible. We stay there another 10 minutes and in the meantime we see that other people are brought glasses, cocktails, chips and even cold cuts boards. At this point I ask about the Unequal Processing and I am told that they ordered at 7.15 pm: Five minutes before we got here. We take note and we sit back and photograph the sunset. At one point one of the other tables orders a second round and at that point the lady can no longer continue the play: she comes to us to ask us what wine we want. Obviously we decline such a courteous offer.
And then they wonder why the Po Delta is struggling to take off as a tourist destination! Great potential, badly wasted.

Lovely place... Too bad about the hotel and bar management

The oasis is a wonderful place to visit, I can not say the same about the hotel room that was scruffy (especially the bathroom), as for the staff the girl is very nice while the lady is not. Excellent breakfasts ranging from sweet to savory. Too bad for the bad management of the bar, we arrived at 19:20 and asked for a drink (on the door is posted a sign that says "bar closing at 20:00") and the two barmaids, one quite young and one old, replied that they did not have time when outside the tables there were some people drinking their aperitif. We also said that we were guests of the facility, but the desire to work was probably very little. Embarrassing to treat customers like this, I travel a lot, and it's the first time in my life that I've ever had that. Too bad because the place is lovely. I highly recommend the restaurant for both the Quality of food and the courtesy of the staff.
