Birthday lunch

I state that the review is based only on the restaurant and not on other resort amenities.
Very good food friendly and helpful staff to clarify about gluten-free dishes that the restaurant is stocked with
Every dish was light and balanced
Apart from the slightly high recommended price

IT TAKES LITTLE TO RUIN THE EVENING

Venue located on a small hill surrounded by greenery, with well-maintained roads and characteristic flora. The restaurant is extremely well-kept, elegant, and in harmony with elements faithful to what it was in the past. We decide to opt for appetizers based on montanarine before moving on to the pizzas. Everything was definitely good, the dishes were quite well-prepared, and the raw materials were of excellent quality. The service provided by the employees was highly professional. Prices were slightly above average but more than reasonable. It is a pity that the entire experience was ruined by the manager of the establishment, who, during the wait for the appetizers, decided to point out to me, despite my being on a phone call at the entrance of the establishment, that her employee felt ridiculed every time he approached our table and had heard remarks directed at him; therefore, she invited me to engage with the rest of the company. This created an atmosphere of discontent and tension throughout the evening, which obviously caused us deep discomfort. This is a profound lack of respect towards the customer, as the jokes made were not directed at anyone, let alone the employees of the venue, since we were trying to relieve the tension accumulated after a sporting event. Accusing someone of wrongdoing without evidence amounts to SLANDER. Probably the instinct of the manager of the venue prevailed over reason, and perhaps the prejudice against us stemmed from our attire, which was not in line with the dress code of the establishment. The only positive note was receiving an apology from her, which we accepted graciously.

not even 2 stars

everything bad, neglected, sad. Bathroom without shower with bathtub not indicated in the reservation. Shameful price for the quality of services. Hostel sheets. I don't understand how you can define charming hotels.
The Spa is outside the hotel

Trust the bad reviews

I usually spend a lot of time looking at reviews and doing my research before booking accommodation, however this time I didn’t have the chance to do so as we had a mixup with our original booking at another place, and it was salone del mobile week and everything was fully booked.
We arrive to this hotel, which is in a lovely area with beautiful surroundings. It is an old monastery and the interior is kind of made to fit the building, which is a plus.
The rooms are fine, nothing special. And if this was the experience we would have simply said to ourselves we had an ok stay. Sadly that was not the case.
Firstly the hotel has breakfast from 9-11. I have never in my life experienced a 4 star hotel where they don’t offer breakfast for people who have to go to work or start earlier than 9. The breakfast itself is a normal, typical Italian breakfast with cakes and coffee.
Then the worst part of the experience, which actually made me feel bad for others who might come after me, not knowing what they are in for. And therefore I found it important to write this review. The prices for dinner and lunch at this place is absolutely disgusting. If this was a Michelin star restaurant, I would understand. But €40 euro for a simple Tuna salad, which by the way was awful. For dinner we had tiny plates of pasta, which was not very good, and the tiramisu is the worst I’ve ever had in my life. I live in Italy and I have to say most Italian restaurants and hotels are overall very good, and Italians take great pride in their hospitality industry. But this place is an absolute disgrace. The fact that they justify their insane prices and on top of that have a horrible attitude and zero sense of what actually descent customer service means makes it even worse.
I shocked, and I will never make the mistake of not reading the reviews again. I sincerely hope the owners read this review and take it seriously, because you cannot treat your customers like this.
