Super!
We stayed in this family-run hotel for only one night as we were passing through.
Excellent cleanliness, large and spacious room, well-furnished, bathroom with a window.
Small internal parking lot, but many free parking spaces available near the hotel.
Super breakfast!
We slept very well thanks to the double windows and the air conditioning!
Kind, polite, helpful, and smiling owners.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and we really enjoyed it, a varied and interesting menu.
Everything was chosen by chance on the internet but highly recommended by those who, like us, have tried other facilities in the area and were always quite disappointed!

Best value for money for Lake Coma and the extended area
I rarely provide reviews but this is a must. Being born in Europe and having the Canadian citizenship as well I consider myself being blessed to have been given the opportunity to travel around the world.
Laco di Como / Lake Como was a special destination as my wife and I embarked in a trip with our motorcycle.
To date I have never encountered a place to offer such an astounding price / quality topped only by the best location if you decide to visit Lake Como.
From hotel Maloia one can easily go on amazing hiking trips North of the lake and most importantly choose on which side of the lake to go without having to take endless detours. In addition other great destination are easily reachable such as Lugano.
The room and bathroom was spacious, very clean and daily cleaning is done regardless how many nights one stays. The location is a very quiet neighbourhood far from main traffic.
Aside from that the dinner at the restaurant was nothing short of amazing. The food can easily compete with a five-star restaurant. I had the best tuna steak ever and every dish is just amazing. They have a small garden where fresh vegetables and herbs are grown and used for cooking. Local wines are amazing and there is a whole collection readily available inside the restaurant from which one can choose anything. Aside from that every night plenty of locals were eating at the hotel’s restaurant which speaks volumes for a small town.
The atmosphere was unique because this hotel is run by a family and three (yes, 3!) generations live and work there. And that is something money can’t buy! The hosts are very hospitable and accommodate immediately every request going over and beyond to make you feel like home.
If you plan to visit Lake Como, hotel Maloia is the best place to stay.
Would I stay there again? ONLY there!

Very poorly

We visited the restaurant in the Maloia hotel.
We were disappointed to spend time there.
The birthday went very poorly because the staff was absolutely unprofessional! In my opinion, they are racist because there were many foreigners in our company.
The table was served inside when we ordered outside. We wanted to move the table inside near the door to go out and smoke comfortably, but they did not give us permission. We sat in the room with the windows closed and suffered from the heat. The air conditioners were not working. They brought the cake without lit candles, without music, and without any wishes!
The owner was very arrogant and rude!
We will never come back again.
I do not recommend it to anyone.

The rooms are large and new, even the newly renovated bathroom. With the windows closed you can not even hear a noise coming from the street .. only thing the air conditioner a little noisy...
We had dinner in their restaurant and we ate very well... I also recommend the really good desserts!
Breakfast a little gem.... With all fresh and genuine products...
