Charming Boutique Hotel

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Horto Convento for 6 nights and we couldn't have been happier with the choice. Although the hotel is located on a busy street, it was so quiet and had such a Zen like atmosphere. The grounds and common areas were very clean. The room we were in (superior king room 103) was separated from the main building and the pictures online didn't do it justice; it was much larger! The daily breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choices. I can't say enough about the staff. Everyone we encountered were all so friendly and professional; Steffano, Giovanni, Cherish, Lara and the breakfast personnel. Adam, the bartender was just wonderful. He gave us two dinner recommendations which were fantastic! If you're looking for a quaint, charming boutique hotel, Horto Convento is the place!

Absolutely amazing hotel. Beautiful grounds and building in a nice, quiet part of the neighborhood, but still so walkable and close to churches, museums, restaurants, etc. Cherish at check-in gave us some great recommendations for food nearby. Had some of the best baked goods I've ever had at breakfast each morning, and had the most beautiful and delicious cocktails and spritz from the bar in the evening. If we come back to the city, we'd 100% want to stay here again.

Hotel Horto Convento is a bit away from central Florence, but we found it to be a great place to unwind and recharge. It was quiet and tasteful. The staff members we interacted with were always upbeat, pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job each day and were done early in the day so we never had to worry about bumping in to them while they were cleaning the room if we happened to stop back at our room in the afternoon. Cherish at the front desk was always smiling and she was very helpful whenever we asked for her help.
We loved the hotel and would stay here again.

As we were enroute to the airport we got a call from the hotel offering us an upgrade to their “sister hotel” the Della Calza Spa. We had chance to compare hotels and agreed to move. Wow, what a good choice. The hotel was stunning and whilst an extra 10-15 minute walk to the centre - it was 100% worth it. Rooms were amazing, staff super helpful and after a hard day doing the sights and climbing bell towers in 40oC heat - it was like an oasis to come back to. We got. couple of hours per day in the spa - which was a welcome bonus. If you get the upgrade offer - just say yes!

Great stay in a former convent

Fantastic stay in a very interesting building. The hotel is very central, and a straightforward 15-20 min walk from Florence station. Being a former convent the hotel is secluded from the streets around, and has a lovely outside seating area around a water fountain. Our room was simple but clean and well appointed. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good quality and a decent selection. I'd highly recommend!
