Italy is great!

Lived in Montecatini Termi. Magnificent landscape, very nice hotel. Delicious Italian food for breakfast: pastries, coffee, sausages, cheeses. We had lunch at the farm, where we served pasta, chianti, meat dishes. But most importantly, the spirit of Tuscany!

Flee don't be foolish like me!

I don't know where to start to write the review of this real dump that is falsely praised by booking apps and run by non-Italian people the only positive note was there was only one night. The reception: as soon as you enter there is no window just a cramped space that makes you anxious and makes you wonder but the security regulations? forget the presence of someone available is at times and when you check in the guy takes photos of your documents. The structure: it is accessed with two password numbers that are visible on the pseudo reception and then anyone can use them is a shabby and dirty guest house without bar let alone breakfast and has luggage storage without any hygiene standards practically in a dusty corner to the goods 'of anyone the guest toilet a latrine without any regard for those who use it. The room: bed with uncomfortable sinking mattress acoustically bad windows from where any noise comes in from the street below where there are rooms that do not let you sleep and the bedroom door does not close properly letting in light and noises that come from slammed doors and doors of other rooms or guest voices. The en-suite bathroom: this deserves a chapter apart small dirty turn on a faucet and floods broken mirror and sharp at the sides broken accessories tiny sink where you can not rest anything drain plug non-existent shower sink old bathroom without window and without ventilation! But is it up to standard? This is not a HOTEL but a high-priced guest house given the proximity to the city center, but if I pay so much I have no comfort I do not sleep but stay in the center of Florence in the end is worth it? I highly recommend this guesthouse there is much better

Sleepless nights

We traveled to Florence for a family anniversary, as my wife is Italian. Since her parents’ house was full, we stayed in a hotel in the city center. To our surprise, it felt more like a self-contained apartment. We received a WhatsApp message on my wife’s phone, and there was never anyone at the reception. Our room was extremely noisy due to the Irish bar below, with people shouting and screaming throughout the night, so we got very little sleep. Additionally, the room was small for two people, there was a funny smell coming from the bathroom, and the toilet seat was loose. We also found that the kettle provided had only one cup, and there was no coffee, tea, sugar, fridge, or milk. For £80 a night, which was charged before we even checked in, the experience was quite disappointing.
We’re looking forward to a good night’s sleep now that we’re back home.
