Incredible location by the river, lovely staff, comfortable room and excellent breakfast. They were very obliging when we had excursions and packed us a breakfast for pick up. Lots of GF options. Would return.

Good be so much more, poor customer service ruined the experience.

Poor service, paid to use the spa as extra even though it wasn’t advertised as a extra and half of it didn’t work, was told we could use it again for free when working and got refused access, hotel reception very rude and unhelpful, we did have a massage n the spa and that was good.

Staff was friendly and room was clean, but otherwise this wasn’t a five star hotel. Phone inside room was not working. Breakfast was average. While I was taking a shower, I noticed that the hair conditioner had run out. I mentioned this to the reception, and I was told that they would take care of it. The following day, the room had been cleaned, but the hair conditioner was still empty. I didn’t feel like going to reception a second time to mention it. Additionally, when I went to bed at night, I noticed that one of the lights on the side of the room was on and could not be switched off. A member of staff came to take a look, but they were unable to turn it off either, so they called some kind of “technical support”, who advised them to switch off the light using some sort of main switch. This did work, but afterwards, the power outlets in the room stopped working, so I could no longer charge my phone or laptop, for example.
Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel as a five-star hotel.

We had a lovely stay at LHP hotel River. The location was perfect for walking into Florence, crossing the bridges and accessing the city site seeing bus. Catarina (I think that’s how I spell her name) was really helpful at breakfast, greeting us with a warm friendly hello, ensuring we had enough coffee and giving us some valuable tips for enjoying our stay, particularly with the high temperature. The hotel has a small air conditioned gym, with cardio and weight machines. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay in Florence.

Valet service severely damaged our vehicle's paint

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We chose the valet service for our car. Unfortunately, the hotel's service severely damaged our vehicle's paint (fender and door).
We filed a complaint and the hotel is investigating the incident. In the meantime, I am rating this hotel with only one star.
