Maison Etoile Guess House Florence,Italy||6/27-7/4/19

My husband and I stayed here. The guest house is very nice. It doesn’t look like much from the outside it has two double wooden doors with a small sign on it with the name. You have to ring the bell and the owner will let you in. You walk up stairs and on the first floor straight ahead is the owners room. Then you go up another flight of steps and there is a room on each side. The room we had was the one with the folding door that entered our bedroom & bathroom it had a lock on it.On that same floor you go up stairs to a shared nice size kitchen/tv room. Off from the kitchen they have a small balcony you can sit out there. The owner is very nice and is always there for you if you need anything.The place is of walking distance to the market,tram,restaurant. It has air conditioning in the bedroom & kitchen you have a remote to turn them on and when you go out you turn it off.

Host that just does not go...

The location is convenient to the Visarno Arena but a little ‘distant from the center (about 30 minutes walk). The room is basic but with a comfortable bed. Amazing that the bathroom is not in the room and that, in the passage from bedroom to bathroom, there is no possibility of closing the sliding door. Lots of light in the room in the morning. Sore note: the owner. A host that I prefer not to define, with rude and aggressive ways. I pointed out a mismatch in price between what he was asking for and what was written on Booking.com and he had an unjustified and, above all, unforgivable reaction

Rude and uncomfortable place with upstairs bathroom with two flights of wooden stairs

I thought it was a comfortable place but when I had the king double room.....disappointment, the bathroom said exterior but it was exterior quite..upstairs doing two flights of stairs (wood)...get up at night and make those stairs...a nightmare and dangerous. The small bathroom with toilet, shower, and small sink (and that’s it) with access to the shared kitchen with others...which meant getting out of the shower with the towel and passing in front of the people who were having breakfast.......EMBARRASSING.
Not only that, the next morning, thinking to do something pleasing reported the embarrassment felt the previous day to the guy who ran the facility, instead he answered in a POLITE and PROFESSIONAL way he said to me: but what do you want for 60 euros, go to a luxury hotel if you want something else.
I felt terrible because for 42 years I was in contact with the public as a police officer, I never allowed myself to raise my voice and respond badly in a rude way like that.
Being Florentine and having had other experiences of b and b because I often go back to this city ‘I was ashamed of how that boy responded. If this continues, he will certainly never become a good manager who knows how to be with the public. I advise against going to that location.

Good apartment

Location is away from Firenze city centre, but it takes only about 15 minutes by tram to get there. Basically apartment was large room and large bathroom with shared, well equipped kitchen. Supermarket and good restaurants near. Safe parking with small extra cost. I would say this accommodation was good value for money.

I very, very strongly recommend

Very nice hotel with kitchen equipped with bullet room PQ present very comfortable bed there is everything plate, cup, saucepan, coffee maker (not electronic) really a very good place to spend your vacation in Florence I highly recommend
