Gorgeous small boutique hotel
A gorgeous boutique hotel on the “other” side of the river.. It’s quiet and peaceful yet only a short walk to the most popular sights. We felt the location was much more authentic and having stayed on both sides of the river, this is now my preferred location.
My room (the smallest - classic) was spotless and beautifully furnished, had loads of character and the bed was very comfortable... Breakfast considering there’s only 7 rooms had good variety, and the outside courtyard was a lovely spot to enjoy it..

Back again
This was a wonderful homecoming and it never gets old. The charm exists almost effortlessly…the comfort of the rooms ( #2 and 4), the views of the garden, the ease of the honor bar, endless choices for breakfast…..
Staying in the Oltrarno district is like being in a different, more approachable, authentic Florence.

We had a lovely stay here. The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was large and powerful. Even though our room was facing the street, there was very little road noise. The out of hours check in process was quite easy - they provide you with a door code and your room card is in a lock box inside the hallway. Breakfast was simple but good and the receptionist was very friendly. The lift is a bit slow but at least there is one! We would definitely stay here again.

Almost perfect!
There is much to love about this little hotel, beginning with the location which is perfect. Our room overlooked the garden and was beautifully done with a large bed, good linens and clever use of space. Large windows meant it was light and spacious . The bathroom, while lovely with a fabulous shower, was a bit dark. The toiletries and indeed the room smelt lovely. There was little tea tray and small fridge which was great. We found the service friendly and approachable however think there should be someone there all day as it made a big difference being welcomed. My main criticism is breakfast which was not good. They are doing too much and sacrificing quality for quantity. The juice was just horrid and it would be so much nicer to have a bowl of oranges and a small press. You do not need a cooked buffet which is left to congeal, but instead cook eggs to order if wanted, there are only 7 rooms… You don’t need 3 cakes and 3 loaves - have fewer and better. Again fresh fruit - it is summer - where is the melon and berries…. ? The only other thing I would say is that if you are a light sleeper you may want to be on a higher floor as on the first floor you could hear the very heavy front door as it opened. Overall we loved the hotel - but please sort out breakfast so it showcases the high quality of the rooms!

Really beautiful property and wonderful room. Hotel is immaculately clean and we thought the hotel had been renovated to a beautiful finish. We let the hotel know we were staying for our 10 year anniversary, and a bottle of Prosecco was left in our room with a note, which was extremely kind. A great location to stay in, just across the river. Passcode is provided for front door so can come and go as please. Have booked to stay in again in October!
