Espresso with a smile!

Letizia and Katia are wonderful hosts who added the fantastic final touch to a great stay. Excellent location in the heart of the historic city. Great breakfast with plenty of espresso available. Comfortable bedding and light filled room.

Hospitality excels in a lovely renovated B&B

Lovely renovation echoing the past with modern facilities. Previous reviews describe the warm environment, extensive morning buffet, home-like feeling of the individual rooms and comfy communal sitting area. Letizia excels in her hospitality. Precaution: As also noted, marble stairs leading up are quite steep.

Casa Gioconda is a true gem in the heart of medieval Gaeta. From the moment we arrived, we felt less like guests and more like family being welcomed into a beautiful home. Letizia, the owner, is the soul of this place. She is kind, gracious, and endlessly generous with her time, sharing wonderful recommendations for beaches, restaurants, and hidden corners of Gaeta that we never would have found on our own.
The space itself is stunning. Recently and thoughtfully renovated, every room has its own character, with warm terracotta tones, ivory linens, exposed wooden beams, and impeccable attention to detail. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and stylish. The bedding was luxurious, the bathroom was pristine, and little touches like complimentary water, snacks, and a glass of wine made the stay feel special.
Breakfast each morning was a highlight. Fresh, abundant, and made to order, with local products, homemade pastries, and perfectly prepared espresso and cappuccino. Sitting down to eat while chatting with Letizia was one of the best parts of our day.
The location could not be better. You are steps from the seafront, the old historic center, wonderful restaurants, and easy walks to the beach and Monte Orlando. Central yet peaceful, it is ideal whether or not you have a car.
We cannot recommend Casa Gioconda highly enough. It captures the warmth, history, and genuine hospitality of Gaeta, and we will absolutely be back. Grazie mille, Letizia, for an unforgettable stay!
