I'm traveling to Italian 6 cities in three weeks and the Melià has been an absolute highlight. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The room was perfect and we had a lovely balcony overlooking Genoa. It was conveniently located, so we could walk to the Piazza (and opera house!), Antico Port, shopping areas and we were 2 minutes from the church where Christopher Columbus was baptized. HIGHLY RECOMMEND that property for your stay in Genoa, one of Italy's underrated gems.

The hotel needs updating. Decor and furniture are outdated. There was no hot water in the shower. No USB ports but adapter was provided after requesting one. Curtains are sheer so the sunlight streams through which made sleeping challenging.

Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Meliá Genova and had a truly wonderful experience. Elegant hotel, meticulously maintained down to the smallest details, and located in an excellent position to visit the city. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, while the staff always demonstrated professionalism, kindness, and helpfulness. The breakfast was varied and of excellent quality, and the wellness area was also a pleasant added value. A relaxing and enjoyable stay in every aspect. A special thanks to Gianluca the concierge for his availability and professionalism. When I return to Genoa, it will definitely be among my top choices. Highly recommended!

Best hotel I've ever stayed in. Immaculate comfortable room. Warm, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was amazing. I hope to return soon. We loved the art at the palaces in the old city.
