Lovely place

Medieval Cistercian abbey, fallen into neglect during a century and recently completely and expertly restored in a professional manner. Pleasant tourist discovery off the traditional mass routes.. aspires cultural and convivial events.

Disappointing room

The place itself is beautiful and extremely well restored. The view is stupendous over the mountains. The room (B202), classed as as a suite, at 140 euro for the night, was most disappointing: the furniture was sparse to the extreme: one easy chair only in the 'sitting room' downstairs, one dining table with 2 chairs. One solitary chair in the bedroom and a double bed, very comfortable but only 3 pillows on the bed, for a couple? Nowhere to put the suitcases or the clothes except the floor. The bathroom was brand new but again nowhere to put clothes. No coffee or tea making facilities in the kitchenette, no cups, no cutlery, a fridge with water and 2 glasses that's all If you don't want to climb a high flight of stairs to your bedroom and another set of stairs to the bathroom don't choose B202 room!

Monastero Stupendo nella Valle santa di Contigliano (Rieti)

CONSIGLIO e da non PERDERE: chi si trova a Contigliano da Visitare il Monastero san Pastore, un posto Incantevole, con Panorama Stupendo nella valle santa di Contigliano... Inoltre è Facilmente Raggiungere il Santuario di Greccio uno dei 4 Santuari Francescani della Valle Santa, gli altri sono: Santuario di Poggio Bustone, La Foresta e Fonte Colombo a Rieti.

Un tuffo nel passato.

Un antico monastero destinato a crollare definitivamente nel giro di qualche anno e che invece un abile costruttore ha restaurato e restituito alla popolazione. Fascino da vendere..spazi a volontà per matrimoni congressi feste eventi. Arricchito (penso sicuramente di recente) con parcheggio e piscina è allestito come residence più che come albergo convenzionale. Consigliatissimo. Unico appunto per la strada da migliorare ma comunque 5 stelle.

Si torna in pieno medio evo

Abbazia edificata 10 anni prima della nascita di Dante che affaccia sul bellissimo panorama della piana reatina e dei monti circostanti.
La struttura è stata oggetto di attento e competente restauro finalizzato ad ospitare convention e cerimonie con possibilità di sistemazione alberghiera per gli ospiti.
Ho avuto accesso al sito in occasione dell'apertura delle dimore storiche promosso dalla Regione Lazio e non so quando e se apre a visite private al di fuori degli eventi che è in grado di accogliere in un'atmosfera magica ed esclusiva.
