Positive experience

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel and we had a good time. The staff was very helpful and courteous, the location allowed us to visit the villages near the lake, and we also had dinner in the excellent restaurant. Furthermore, the breakfast was very abundant and varied. For my personal taste, the only negative note is the excessive whiteness of the walls in the corridors where the rooms are; I would have put up some paintings or something else to add a little color. In conclusion, highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation.

We stayed at this property for the last weekend of May 2026, for a total of 3 nights.
The property is located in an enviable position, close to both the lake and restaurants, as well as the old town of Bolsena.
Impeccable cleanliness, both in the common areas and in the rooms.
The staff is courteous and always ready to resolve any type of inconvenience.
The parking option is an excellent added value.
We did not have the opportunity to try the cuisine: the sweet breakfast is certainly satisfying (especially the croissants that are filled to the brim).
The savory options could be more varied and extensive in choice.
The quality of the drinks at the bar is excellent.
Overall, the stay was pleasant: we would gladly return for another vacation.

Inadequate accommodation

In April 2026 I took part in a trip with a group of friends organized by the Fashion Travel agency of Bra (CN) requesting a single room to book.
I was therefore a guest of the Hotel “Platani” in Bolsena (VT) declared 4 stars, for three days. I was assigned a microscopic chamber (no. 311), completely inadequate, with an area of only 7.5 square meters therefore does not comply with the minimum requirements set by law for a 4-star hotel (9 square meters), but not even for a 3-star hotel. This is based on the “mandatory minimum requirements” provided by the Regulation of the Lazio Region of 24 October 2008, n. 17 – Annex. Tab. A2 point 2.01.a - In addition I was charged, for this room, a supplement of 135 € which I consider completely arbitrary. Normally (and this is also understandable) hotels charge a supplement for a “double room for single use”. Those who read me know how to regulate themselves.

Great food!!

We went to lunch with the family for Easter, as we were very curious about the menu that was proposed .. I must say that we made a great choice ..!! traditional ingredients presented in an innovative and refined .. food of excellent quality and well presented .. all really good!! Worth a 4 star hotel!! Impeccable reception, discreet and precise service, extensive wine list of which many local
.. considering that we have tried the whole menu, value for money great .. if you pass or visit Bolsena recommend staying and eating at the Platani hotel before a nice walk along the lake!
