A discovery to relive

Lovely place, quiet and wonderful staff, impeccable Service. Beautiful rooms, excellent cleanliness. Great restaurant. A stone's throw from the thermal baths of Lazise, surrounded by vineyards.

not comparable to the experience of a few years ago

We stayed at Le Palazzole several times years ago, and it had always been a wonderful experience. Not this time. The room they hosted us in, instead of the usual nice comfortable rooms, was a hole of a small room with an interior bathroom where the bed barely fit. The breakfast, which was once the pride of the place, with their freshly baked bread and cakes and everything, was in the room on a very small table, with some small muffins and packaged rusks, a small butter in the fridge but no trace of jam, only one pod of regular coffee and two of decaf, and my cup was stained with tea. All this for a price certainly higher than before. I'm sorry but I was disappointed.

Low cost/benefit ratio

Pleasant little farmhouse among the vineyards, I would say focused on dining. Kind welcome. The cost/benefit ratio for the B&B is low. I purchased the package offered with admission to the spa. Two nights as a couple 404.00 euros. Meanwhile, it only includes one day of admission to the spa even though the stay is for 2 days. The second day 30.00 eu. You only get access to two lakes anyway; access to pools, caves, rooms, lounge chairs, and saunas is an extra charge. No towels. Unfortunately, as noted in many reviews, at this price you get a very poor breakfast with dry packaged products. 2 Mulino Bianco snack cakes, 2 rusks, 2 yogurts and fruit juice, 2 coffee pods. Corn Flakes, Nutella, No milk. More single-serving portions of jam and honey. I come from Austria where, for a few more euros under the same conditions, excellent breakfast, dinner, and 3-day admission to the thermal baths, cable cars, etc., are included. Draw your own disappointing conclusions. Room with a central bed and breakfast table behind it. Air conditioner reaches 28 degrees. If it were out of respect for the planet, I would be proud of it. I therefore suggest starting to also remove plastic cups and soaps packaged in plastic, and above all the numerous plastics at breakfast. I advise the staff not to throw away the food left by guests in the room. I am talking about bread with seeds and slices of cake with raisins left covered on a plate for us to manage a breakfast.

An excellent dinner

In conjunction with a stay at Villa dei Cedri, we stopped to eat at this Country House immersed in the vineyards.
We ate on the outdoor terrace immersed in the greenery.
Staff and owner very kind and friendly.
Ate well, they have a varied menu between first courses and meat and lake fish main courses even if the portions are not abundant.
The price is slightly above average but justified by the location and service.

I have never been treated so disrespectfully and condescendingly in a restaurant.

I have never been treated so disrespectfully and condescendingly in a restaurant.
Before ordering, I explicitly inquired how the ragù is prepared. I was told that it consists of beef and pork and is not very fatty. However, when the food was served, the ragù consisted of numerous pieces of fat. I politely addressed this with the restaurant manager.
While the waitress reacted extremely kindly, apologized, and wanted to offer a solution, the restaurant manager behaved completely unprofessionally. Instead of showing understanding or apologizing for the incorrect information, she began to argue with me and questioned my complaint.
What followed left me speechless: The restaurant manager told me that she thought I did not eat pork because I "look like a Muslim." Assigning someone to a religion based on their appearance and drawing conclusions about their eating habits is, in my view, discriminatory and absolutely unacceptable.
Even more hurtful was that she subsequently spoke about me at the neighboring table while I was still present. I have never experienced being treated like this as a guest. I felt humiliated, not taken seriously, and treated with profound disrespect.
Great praise goes exclusively to the waitress, who sincerely apologized and behaved professionally. However, the behavior of the restaurant manager turned the entire visit into an experience I would not wish on anyone.
